Wonder Woman Actress Gal Gadot On Completing The Superhero Trinity

Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot will make her debut as the famed heroine long before the standalone Wonder Woman film actually hits theaters, or even before it begins production, as Gadot has already been involved in that role with the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film. While little has really been made public about the film that will bring the three superheroes together, Gal has changed that with a new interview in which the Wonder Woman actress talks about coming together to form the ultimate trinity.

Wonder Woman’s Evolution Helps To Create A New Look For The Batman v Superman Trinity

Gal Gadot has much to live up to with Lynda Carter’s version of Wonder Woman still enduring time to maintain the freshest memory of the superheroine, but the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice actress says the new Wonder Woman that fans will see will be an evolution of that character. In fact, Batman v Superman‘s director, Zack Snyder, is working with Patty Jenkins, who is set to direct the solo Wonder Woman film, so that issues of continuity and creativity can be addressed early on, according to Cosmic Book News. Ms. Gadot adds that Wonder Woman will be updated and that the character will be evolved to seem more contemporary.

Speaking of the Wonder Woman stand alone film, which will begin filming early in November, Gal says she’s excited to be telling the Wonder Woman story, but also says that her anticipation is more for the fans than for herself.

“I’m so happy it’s me to tell that story,” Gadot says. “I think there is no better time than now, and it’s about time we should see this amazing heroine on the big screen.”

For some time now, each actor has been doing his or her own thing, working separately on different aspects of filming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and that has included costume fittings, so, as Comic Book reports, the trio has never come together in costume or seen one another in costume. This changed when all three actors were brought together in full costume, and Ms. Gadot’s reaction was far from the cool response Wonder Woman might have given.

“But the first time they shot the trio, it was almost magical. On the one hand, when you think about it realistically, it’s kind of weird to stand there, all three of us as superheroes,” Gal Gadot says. “And then, when we started to shoot, Ben became Batman, Henry became Superman, and I became Wonder Woman. I can’t even express in words how excited I was.”

The Batman v Superman director was equally impressed by the sight of the three superheroes coming together in the flesh for the first time. Snyder also used the word “crazy” and describing the experience, revealing just how surreal that moment must have been for everyone witnessing it.

There is some concern among fans that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will spoil Wonder Woman’s story before the stand alone film hits theaters, but Snyder assures fans that isn’t the case. Zack adds that nothing will be spoiled. In Batman v Superman, Wonder Woman comes together with the two male superheroes because she’s looking for something that she hasn’t been able to find previously.

“I will say they share a mutual interest,” Snyder says of Wonder Woman coming together with Batman and Superman. “They – all three of them – are in a weird way looking for a similar thing. They’re on the same track.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, starring Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and Amy Adams, will hit theaters March 25, 2016.
