Florida Mom Included Toddler In Sex Acts And Pornography

A Florida mom has been sentenced to seven years in prison after she was found guilty of multiple sex crimes involving her two-year-old daughter. The Panama City News Herald reports that Kayla Nicole Fosmire was sentenced on Friday after a brief trial surrounding her reported crimes against the helpless child. The details surrounding this case are nothing short of infuriating, with a variety of passionate opinions circulating on social media regarding her crimes.

Fosmire was arrested back in 2012 after authorities in Florida discovered a series of incriminating photographs and videos on a computer owned by the Florida mom. The discovery of these materials led to charges of lewd or lascivious exhibition, promoting the sexual performance of a child, and child abuse. That’s because the images and videos depicted Fosmire posing explicitly nude with her daughter after having her pose in the same fashion as herself. At least one video showed Fosmire engaging in sexual acts with her boyfriend while the child was present.

During the trial a video was also shown in which Fosmire admitted to her behavior, and admitted that she knew that her behavior with her two-year-old daughter was inappropriate. She even admitted that the behavior took place on “more occasions than she could remember.” She reportedly allowed her boyfriend to perform sexual acts on her while she was either holding the toddler in her lap, or with the child in the bed with them or watching in the same room.

The Florida mom’s boyfriend, 25-year-old Nicholas Evans, reportedly possessed some of the incriminating evidence. This was evidence that the defense attempted to block from the trial, but was unsuccessful. Evans was also convicted of his involvement with the crimes against the child and has been sentenced to five years of imprisonment — two years less than Fosmire. The two of them will also have to register as sex offenders upon their release from prison.

NBC News 7 reported in September that the woman could have faced nearly 100 years of imprisonment for the crimes she was convicted of committing, but a Florida judge went easy on her. If she completes the full seven years (and isn’t released early on good behavior), she will only be in her early 30s. Meanwhile, her child (who is now five-years-old) will possibly live with the memories of what she witnessed for the rest of her life. It should be noted that the Florida mom has permanently lost custody of the little girl.

This is far from the only time a mother has participated in inappropriate sexual behavior with her children. This year, an Alabama couple were arrested on several charges associated with child sex abuse and incest. The mother of the victims, Amber Maritta Cartwright, was arrested when her victims turned her and her boyfriend in to police. Also this year, an Oklahoma woman was accused of locking her three children in crates and “pimping them out,” for sexually exploitative activity.

The children finally put a stop to the cruel behavior when they told their stepmother that, during visits with Thereasa Fisher, they would be given drugs to sedate them while waiting for men to participate in sex acts with them. Authorities believe that Fisher was accepting drugs and/or money in exchange for letting men sexually abuse her kids. Fisher has a long history of drug abuse related arrests.

In another recent case, a woman named Lynn Osborne was also arrested for allowing the sexual abuse of her own children. The Fairmont, Virginia, woman had allegedly told her boyfriend to “do whatever he wants” to her 13-year-old daughter, who was not a willing participant. She is also accused of standing in the room and watching while her daughter was raped.
