Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift Become Country Music’s Hot New Duo As Blake Shelton Prepares To Reunite With Ex-Wife

Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift just became the hottest new country music duo….well, sort of. Blake Shelton’s former wife joined the pop star onstage, with Miranda looking fit and fab in an unexpected appearance with her pal. Will Lambert and Taylor keep the magic going? That’s not known yet, but Swift definitely succeeded in a delightful surprise for her audience, reported Taste Of Country.

Throughout Taylor’s 1989 Tour, Swift has rediscovered her country music roots. And who better to join her in that discovery than country-strong Miranda? Lambert dressed in a 1989 shirt complete with gobs of glitter to do a hip shimmy as she sang “Little Red Wagon” with Taylor.

Swift headed to Instagram following their duet to share the magic ride that she experienced in that little red wagon, and fans also couldn’t stop sharing their excitement on social media.

In addition to Miranda, Taylor has enjoyed sharing the stage with Sam Hunt, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, the Band Perry and Dierks Bentley. Swift’s 2015 tour marks her debut of and segue to pop music with her 1989 album. Among the hits resulting from that record, “Shake It Off” has made Taylor into an unshakable and unstoppable musical force. Swift will finish the United States leg of her 1989 tour on October 31.

Lambert also believes in girl power, after concluding her women-only Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour in mid-October. And although her divorce from Blake wasn’t easy, Miranda has been candid in feeling inspired to create new music for a future album. Fans can watch Lambert at the 2015 CMA Awards in early November.

Taylor has been pals with the country music diva for a long time. Swift and Miranda took the time to recognize each other’s talents, reported Entertainment Tonight.

Lambert paid Taylor the ultimate compliment by having her “squad” take on “Bad Blood” at one point. And when Swift introduced Miranda, it was clear that she was proud of having Lambert join her.

“Make some noise, guys, ’cause Miranda Lambert is here!” yelled Taylor.

Swift succeeded with the command when the Greensboro, North Carolina audience went wild at the news that Miranda was her unannounced duet partner.

So, with all the excitement over Lambert and Taylor, will they become Ran & Tay, the country music duo, asked CMT.

Perhaps so, because it wasn’t just Swift tweeting her excitement.

“@taylorswift13…. You are a bad a**! Amazing show! #inspired,” tweeted Lambert.

All the girl-power praise comes after 31-year-old Miranda survived a divorce and the resulting rumors with 39-year-old Shelton. And now Lambert and Blake will be reuniting in public for the first time since the divorce at the 2015 CMAs, reported Closer Weekly.

Miranda and Shelton divorced after being married for four years. They tied the knot in May 2011, and they finally shared the news after denying the rumors for a long time. Sadly, they could no longer sustain the marriage of two country superstars. Lambert and Blake revealed their decision to break up on July 20, 2015.

“This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter,” stated the announcement of their divorce.

You can watch Miranda and Shelton appear in public together again when the 2015 CMA Awards is broadcast live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, November 4. The broadcast will be aired from Nashville.
