Loads Of ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ DLC By Year’s End, Catwoman Gets Revenge And Batfleck Arrives

Batman: Arkham Knight has already released a number of DLC add-ons for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One since its release in June this year. The action-adventure title has plenty more in store over the next three months for those who purchased the Season Pass, and even for those who did not. Rocksteady Studios has announced its plans for the game and it includes a handful of new, single-player missions starring Batman, Catwoman, and Robin along with some Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice tie-ins.

Rocksteady has DLC lined up for October, November, and December for Batman: Arkham Knight, in addition to free updates. The free updates will allow players to choose characters for the various AR Combat Challenges as well as the ability to choose difficulty levels for the combat and Batmobile Combat Challenges. Those are coming in October, while the ability to choose characters for AR Invisible Predator Challenges will be arriving in November.

November will also see the arrival of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice skins for both Batman and the Batmobile. That’s right, Batfleck is coming to Arkham Knight.

Naturally, a number of skins are coming to playable characters, too, such as Catwoman and Robin. Both will get skins based on the 1960s TV series starring Adam West and Burt Ward. There’s even a Riddler-themed Batmobile skin on the way next month.

Perhaps the most interesting, though, are the all new story missions. Catwoman’s Revenge will come next month along with a Robin-themed mission titled, A Flip of the Coin. The names should give away the plot of each story for those who have played Batman: Arkham Knight even just a little.

Catwoman will be going through a gauntlet of challenges to infiltrate Riddler’s headquarters and get back at the trickster. Meanwhile, Robin will be going head-to-head with Two-Face as he deals with the consequences from the ending of Arkham Knight.

This all wraps up in December with the release of the Season of Infamy: Most Wanted expansion that sends Batman on four different missions to tackle individual villains from his Rogues Gallery: Killer Croc. Mister Freeze. Mad Hatter, and Ra’s Al Ghul. Each mission will be approximately as long as the other Most Wanted missions in the main game.

Note that there is still no word on when all of this will be coming to the PC. Rocksteady is still working on the re-release of that version of the game.

Batman: Arkham Knight was initially criticized for its $40 Season Pass announcement since Rocksteady provided few details on what was coming. After six months of releases, now is the time to start figuring out if the complaints were justified. What do you think?
