Khloe Kardashian’s Worst Nightmare Has Come True, Stands By Lamar Odom Despite Their Troubled Marriage

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have had their differences, but there’s no doubt that the two share a bond that’s still strong despite their failed marriage. This was certainly evident when a distressed Khloe was the first to be at Lamar’s side after he was discovered unconscious at a Nevada brothel.

According to reports, the Nye County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call at the Love Ranch in Vegas, where Lamar was found unresponsive.

Lamar, who used to play for the Los Angeles Lakers, was initially taken to the Desert View Hospital. He was supposed to be airlifted, but at 6? 10,” he was too tall for the helicopter, so he was taken instead to the Sunrise Hospital and Medical Centre by ambulance.

The 35-year-old’s condition is said to be critical. However, this has not been confirmed, as the hospital declined to comment. A TMZ report stated, though, that their source has told the site that “it’s not good.”

Khloe was reportedly at a photo shoot for People when she heard about what had happened to her ex-husband and immediately flew to Las Vegas with her mother, Kris Jenner, and her sister, Kim Kardashian-West. The 31-year-old is reportedly “inconsolable” since learning about what happened and has been at his side ever since.

Khloe and Lamar’s relationship has been described time and again as complicated, despite how well it started.

The two reportedly met in August 2009 at a party for Lamar’s teammate, Metta World Peace, and immediately started dating. They were engaged a few weeks later and were married by September 27.

Their whirlwind romance and wedding came as a big surprise to everyone, particularly to Liza Morales, who was with Odom for more than a decade and is the mother of his three children.

For all intents, Khloe seemed very happy with her husband, even taking his last name. She was also a regular at his games and spent time with his kids.

The couple soon started their own business ventures in 2011, launching a fragrance line and their own reality show, Khloe and Lamar, but cracks soon appeared in their relationship as they struggled to have a baby.

Odom also experienced a big setback in his career at this time, with the Lakers trading him to the Dallas Mavericks. He was subsequently released by the Mavericks in 2012 and picked up by the Los Angeles Clippers. Khloe and Lamar’s reality show was also put on hiatus in 2012. With his team travelling, the baller and his wife were rarely seen together.

In 2013, reports of Lamar cheating and hanging out at strip clubs surfaced.

Despite all the controversy, Khloe still stood by Lamar and their marriage, but the reality star apparently had had enough by August of that year and kicked him out of their home.

Despite these events, the couple still tried to save their marriage and attended counseling together. However, Khloe finally filed for divorce in December 2013, which was finalized in July 2015 when Lamar finally signed the papers.

The two still remained in constant communication and are apparently technically still married as their divorce papers haven’t been processed yet. This has left the 31-year-old Khloe in charge of making medical decisions for her ex-husband. She even arranged for Lamar’s children and his father to be flown in so they can be with him.

This ordeal has been especially hard on the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, who is openly known for still communicating with and looking out for Lamar, despite some objections from her family.

Khloe had revealed in past interviews that she would “never ever not love Lamar” despite everything they’ve gone through.

And in what might have been an eerie foreshadowing, the fitness buff told PEOPLE magazine that she has been on high alert since Lamar’s best friend, Jamie Sagouthai, died; worried that something might set him off and he’ll go on a downward spiral.

Now it seems Khloe Kardashian’s nightmare has come true. Time will tell if her love and support, along with the rest of Lamar’s family and friends, can help pull him through this.
