‘Longmire’ Fans Trend On Twitter, Get Message from Robert Taylor

Fans of the hit show Longmire bonded together tonight for a huge event to do all that they could to get the show renewed for season 5. As of right now, Longmire seasons 1-4 are on Netflix, but a fifth season has not been confirmed. The Longmire Posse had a huge stampede on Wednesday night to try to do everything they could to get the word out about how bad they want Longmire to return again. They went on Facebook and Twitter to share the hashtag #LongmireS5Netflix. After the event, Longmire Posse shared on Facebook that the big stampede was a success! They were all over the social networks tonight and talking about Longmire.

During this stampede, the Longmire fans were able to get their hashtag #LongmireS5Netflix trending on Twitter. As they shared all night long, Netflix was tagged in the tweets and posts. There is no way that Netflix didn’t notice all of the noise that they were making. It was the number 2 trending topic most of the night, and their Longmire tweets were even over tweets about the hit show Empire while it was airing a new episode.

So far, Netflix has not shared if they are planning to renew Longmire or not, but this is probably due to all of the ratings not being in yet for season 4. Everyone is still watching season 4 of Longmire, and hopefully, once Netflix is able to see what a huge fan base there is for this show, they will know that season 5 of Longmire has to happen. It could be revealed any day, but for now Netflix isn’t sharing anything about their future plans for Longmire, and fans just have to wait.

Another exciting thing that happened tonight was that the Longmire Posse got a shout-out from actor Robert Taylor. He plays Sheriff Walt Longmire on the show and is a fan favorite. They were obviously able to get this Longmire actor’s attention, which is a great thing. Robert Taylor went to YouTube to share a short message telling them good luck on the stampede, but that he knew that they wouldn’t need it. Of course he was right about that because they did a great job getting the word out about how bad they want season 5 of Longmire. These fans won’t stop at anything.

Tonight was definitely a success for the Longmire Posse. Now, it is just time to wait and see what Netflix decides to do and hopefully they make up their mind soon. If not, you know that the Longmire Posse is not going to take it lightly and they will be doing another stampede to get their attention.

Longmire actually aired the first three seasons on A&E, but they decided to cancel it. The fans love Longmire and fought hard to get it to come back once again. A&E missed out, but Netflix picked up the show and gave it a fourth season that was 10 episodes long. They didn’t tie everything up in a nice little bow at the end of season 4 though. Netflix made sure to leave Longmire where fans are wanting more and there is a lot of story left to tell if they bring it back again. This leaves everyone hopeful that Longmire will be coming back soon.
