Celine Dion Not A Big Fan Of ‘Titanic’ Theme Either

Celine Dion is the next in line to admit that she doesn’t really care for “My Heart Will Go On,” the iconic song from James Cameron’s Titanic.

Dion’s comment comes after Kate Winslet, who played Rose in the 1990s movie, stated in an interview that the song made her sick. The New York Post reports that, while Celine defends the ballad that gave her her biggest hit to date, she admitted:

“If I just count how many times I’ve sung it, maybe it’ll get me sick. If she feels tired just hearing it, and like throwing up, I’m glad she was not the one singing it.”

Celine Dion further stated, according to The Daily Mail, that:

“My Heart Will Go On gave me the opportunity to be associated with a classic that will live forever.”

This is very true, because when Titanic is mentioned, those who have seen the movie will immediately remember three things: Celine Dion, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kate Winslet. The New York Post reports that Dion recently had to cancel five weeks of shows at a popular Las Vegas venue. She told Savannah Guthrie of “Today” that:

“[My voice] was just choppy a little bit. “It’s hard to do a show, but it’s much harder to cancel the show. We disappointed a lot of people. It was hard.”

The virus Dion has suffered from affected her vocal cords, requiring her to take some much needed time off.

Does “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion make you sick too, or do you still enjoy the Titanic ballad?
