‘Real Housewives’ Shannon Beador’s Husband David Thought He Was ‘In Love’ With Mistress Nicole McMackin [Video]
Real Housewives of Orange County couple Shannon and David Beador are scheduled to appear on tonight’s special episode of Watch What Happens Live. During their one-on-one interview with Andy Cohen, the Real Housewives couple speaks openly about David’s eight-month affair with Nicole McMackin, and in one particular scene from the episode, he’s seen admitting he was in love with his mistress.

In the preview clip of tonight’s Watch What Happens Live, shared by E! News on October 5, Cohen questions the Real Housewives couple about David’s affair, as well as his mistress and Shanon’s feelings about the issue.
When asked by Cohen whether or not he was “in love” with McMackin during the brief relationship, David explained, “I thought I was in love with her, yes.”
Real Housewives star Shannon went on to reveal she was hurt by David’s revelation and said it was just one of the many hurtful situations she found herself in the months that followed his affair. David was then asked if he would have come clean to the Real Housewives star had she not discovered his hotel receipts in his briefcase. In response, David assured Cohen, creator of the Real Housewives franchise, that he would have eventually told her the truth — and she believes him.
“I do, because he was ready to leave me,” Shannon explained to Cohen, revealing her husband’s initial plan was to call it quits on their marriage after falling for his mistress.
According to a report by DailyMail last month, David’s affair with McMackin began after they met in September 2013, and continued until his Real Housewives wife, Shannon, confronted him about the relationship in April 2014, ahead of filming on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10.

The Real Housewives star’s mistress, McMackin, was married at the time of the affair, as well, and just like the Beadors, she and husband Reed chose to work through the incident. The DailyMail also revealed McMackin had seemingly attempted to get close to the Real Housewives star after she slept with her husband by signing her child up to an activity, which was also participated in by one of Shannon and David’s children. Shannon spoke of McMackin attempting to befriend her during an episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
In an August blog for Bravo TV, the Real Housewives star opened up about the current state of her marriage to David, explaining that despite their hard times, they are now in a much better place with one another.
“What is most important today is the current state of my marriage. David has chosen me. We are in an amazing place. And our family is happily living together as one unit. I am grateful for Vicki’s friendship and appreciate that she has respected my request to not tell the other women about my painful experiences in the last year.”
Since wrapping filming on The Real Housewives of Orange County several weeks ago, Shannon has continued to keep fans in the loop with her marriage, and often shows date night photos, as well as photos of herself, David and their three daughters.
