‘Ghost Adventures’ Couple Mark And Debby Constantino Dead After Alleged Murder-Suicide

Mark and Debby Constantino, a paranormal investigative couple featured multiple times on the Travel Channel’s hit series Ghost Adventures, were found dead on Tuesday after an alleged murder-suicide, according to the Sparks, Nevada Police Department.

The incident began when Debby Constantino’s roommate came home to find Debby missing and an as-of-yet unidentified third roommate dead in their shared apartment in Reno, reports KTVN. The woman immediately called the police to report the death and the fact that Debby was missing. After pinging her cellphone, police discovered that the Ghost Adventures madam was at an apartment block in Sparks. When officers arrived on scene, they were shot at by an unidentified man. After negotiations, they learned that the man was, in fact, the other half of the Ghost Adventures couple — Debby Constantino’s estranged husband Mark. They also learned that Debby was being held hostage in the apartment.

At one point during the investigations, according to WTSP, Mark — who was known by locals as an avid ghost hunter — said to police “give me 15 minutes to gather my thoughts or I’ll kill her!” After may hours of failed negotiations between Reno and Sparks police officers, as well as the local FBI, and Mark Constantino, SWAT officers entered the home through use of explosives, and there they found the Ghost Adventures couple already dead.

Mark and Debby Constantino were well known in the ghost hunting circuit. In the world of ghost hunting, they were considered experts in “EVP” (Electronic Voice Phenomena) or, in layman’s terms, recording ghost voices. Between 2008 and 2011, the couple appeared in several episodes of Ghost Adventures, where they helped the shows hosts “speak” to ghosts by way of their recordings.

Though the Ghost Adventures crew have yet to release an official statement regarding the couple’s deaths, hosts Zak Bagans and Aaron Goodwin, as well as former Ghost Adventures investigator Nick Groff, have all tweeted out their despair at the news of the Constantines’ deaths.

Though Mark and Debby Constantine have worked as a paranormal team for many years, this past year has been a dark one for the former Ghost Adventures couple, marked with domestic violence. According to KTVN In August, Mark was charged with kidnapping, domestic battery, and domestic battery by strangulation after allegedly pulling his estranged wife from a car, dragging her inside a house, and strangling her.
