Dollar Tree Bathroom: Manager Accused Of Filming Female Customers

A Dollar Tree manager secretly filmed female customers going to the bathroom at his East Los Angeles store, police say. Alexandria Sabori, 24, allegedly discovered the hidden cell phone set to record video during a recent trip into the East L.A. Whittier Boulevard discount store.

Alexandria Sabori told police she asked to use the Dollar Store bathroom, and a male employee asked her to wait until he checked to make sure it was “nice and clean” before she used the facilities.

Once inside the Los Angeles Dollar Tree bathroom, Sabori said she noticed that a cardboard box with a hole in it was positioned near the commode, the Daily Mail reports.

Inside the restroom, Sabori noticed a cardboard box near the toilet with a hole in it.

“I was very curious to see what was in the box,” Sabori stated during an interview with KTLA 5 News. “Why was there a hole in the box?”

When Alexandria looked inside the box, she said her “heart dropped.” Inside the Dollar Tree cardboard box, she found a black iPhone with the video recording function already turned on. Sabori said she then grabbed the phone and went back out into the store and demanded to speak to the manager.

Dollar Tree bathroom videos of female customers led police to arrest manager of East L.A. store.

Unfortunately for Sabori, the manager was the same male employee who offered to check the rest room for cleanliness before she entered. She then exited the Los Angeles Dollar Tree and called the police.

Carlos Martinez was arrested by police at the East L.A. store he managed on September 7. No charges have yet been filed against the staffer.

Los Angeles law enforcement investigators are urging any other potential Dollar Tree bathroom cam victims to come forward and contribute what they know to the growing case file.

Ternesha Peoples, also a customer at the store, told KTLA reporters that she, too, had “dealt with” the same male manager, and said she felt “suspicious” of him.

“Each time [I would go to the bathroom] he would say, ‘Oh I have to check and make sure there’s toilet paper’ or ‘I have to check and make sure it’s not wet,’ and then after he came out he would let us enter,” Peoples stated, adding that her daughter has used the same Dollar Tree restroom.

Alexandria Sabori was shopping with her sister and 10-year-old niece the day she discovered the hidden bathroom cam. She said she felt she had to come forward in order to protect future victims, especially young ones like her niece.
