Jessa Duggar Asks Fans To Name Her Baby: Maybe She Was Inspired By Guinea Pig Name Game
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are having a hard time coming up with a baby name, probably because Jessa’s parents used half the baby book when naming her 18 siblings. So, instead of continuing to search for the perfect modest moniker for Baby Seewald, Jessa and Ben have decided to ask their fans to come up with a baby name. Weirdly, it’s possible that the inspiration for their name game was a guinea pig.
According to People, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald recently posted a new video on the Seewald Family website. In it, they ask fans for their best baby name suggestions. Jessa’s due date is November 1, but she still doesn’t know whether she’s having a boy or a girl. This is why she’s asking for names for both sexes.
“We haven’t told whether our baby is a boy or a girl, but we are in the middle of choosing a baby name,” Jessa says in the video below. “Put in your top pick for a boy name and a girl name, and who knows. We may choose yours.” The video was also accompanied by a poll asking fans to guess whether Jessa is having a girl, boy, twin girls, or twin boys. However, it seems very unlikely that Jessa is having twins.
Jessa Duggar also directed her fans to the poll on Instagram, and of course, some of her followers couldn’t resist offering their suggestions in the comments section of the post.

One fan suggested Jenna for a girl because it’s “like Ben and Jessa combined,” and multiple fans suggested Ezekiel for a boy. Others offered unisex options so that Ben and Jessa don’t have to have two names prepared for Baby Seewald. These names included Avery, Taylor, Emmer, Jessen, Blake, and Grayson. Some of the most popular suggestions were Caitlyn, Noah, Nevaeh (Heaven spelled backwards), Hannah, Matthew, Alexandra, James, Olivia, Jacob, Grace, Carter, and Parker.
According to the Duggar Family Official Facebook page, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald will announce the results of the baby poll on Monday. Over 89,000 people have already voted and offered their name ideas.

It’s possible that Jessa and Ben got the idea to ask fans to help them choose a baby name from Jessa’s little sister, Jenni. She recently got a pet guinea pig, and her parents turned to their family’s Facebook fans to help the girl pick the perfect name for her pet.
“Well, this just happened today! Here’s Jenni and her new Guinea!” the Duggars captioned the photo below. “We’ve talked all day through possible names and decided we should ask our facebook friends to help Jenni name her new ‘Jenni Pig’!”
The top suggestions currently include Jiggy (a combination of “piggy” and “Jenni”), Pickles (the Duggars love the sour treats), Jelly Bean (it’s cute and it starts with the letter “J”), and Winnie (it rhymes with “Jenni” and “guinea”).
Unfortunately, the Duggars haven’t revealed which name they chose for the guinea pig. Whatever they decided to go with, hopefully it wasn’t on Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald’s list of potential baby names.
