Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: God Sister Speaks Out On Her Hospice Care

Reality star Brandi Burnside, the late Whitney Houston’s goddaughter, appeared on FOX’s The Real show this week and spoke about Bobbi Kristina Brown’s hospice care stay. Burnside pointed out that Bobbi Kristina was fighting to stay alive, despite the tragic circumstances.

Burnside, of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, was one of the few people allowed to visit Bobbi Kristina at the Peachtree Christian Hospice center in Duluth, Georgia, where the 22-year-old was taken after battling irreversible brain damage for over six months. Little information is known about Bobbi Kristina’s last days while she lay in hospice, but Burnside shared a touching moment with the hosts of The Real, reflecting on one of her last memories with her godsister.

“She loved my son and when we were like, ‘Krissy, we brought the baby.’ She moved. I said, ‘can you hear me?’ Let them know, show them. She couldn’t close her all the way, but she moved it to the right. That was enough for me to know this was somebody’s fight. This was somebody here.”

Burnside recently learned that her little sister has multiple sclerosis, and with the loss of Bobbi Kristina as well, she indicated that she is dealing with the sadness by putting her faith in God.

“It’s negative and it hurts, but the positive in it is that they’re with God and there is no better place to be with the peace that they can get.”

Meanwhile, Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina’s former boyfriend, is still preparing his defense for his upcoming wrongful death civil lawsuit that accuses him of not only causing Bobbi Kristina’s death, but also stealing from her bank account and physically and emotionally abusing her.

Gordon reportedly has a strong team of defense attorneys, including Jose Baez, a Florida-based lawyer who made headlines in 2011 after he successfully won an acquittal for Casey Anthony, who was accused of murdering her 2-year-old daughter.

Rumors recently circulated that someone was caught on video surveillance abusing Bobbi Kristina, but authorities have the video in question, and so far, there has been no indication that anything was found. Although Gordon isn’t facing any criminal charges for Bobbi Kristina’s death, he still remains the primary suspect in the incident.

Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away on July 26 at the Peachtree Christian Hospice center. Authorities are still awaiting the final autopsy results, which should indicate exactly what caused her to develop brain damage.
