Adam Lambert may not have won American Idol 2009, but — love him or hate him — his performances won’t soon be forgotten. During Wednesday night’s Idol finale, Lambert took the stage with rock legends KISS to perform an anthem of classic rock hits.

The Adam Lambert-KISS teaming sent sparks flying from the stage (quite literally). The gang took on “Detroit Rock City” and “Rock and Roll All Nite” in an epic, fire-filled performance.

I am an older woman with two grown children and I fell in love with Adam Lambert on AI. I don't care if he's gay, bisexual, or trisexual, he is the most talented and gorgeous artist I have ever seen! Grow up America – Adam Lambert derserved to win. When I was a teenager I loved Kiss. Now that I am full grown, I love Adam Lambert!

I want to watch the video dammit! Adam with my fav band ever – OMG!! This 42 year old was in 7th heaven. I about had a heart attack when Adam started to sing Beth cause I knew what was next!! Adam – so disappointed you didn't win, but am so happy that I found you thru American Idol. I am a fan forever and can't wait to see you in concert and can't wait to listen to more of your music. I just had to come onto this article for a minute to say: WHO THE HELL CARES about American Idol?? It's so unimportant in the grander scheme of things. But I guess plenty of people do care, as is evident by the ratings. What a waste of time.

Adam is so extraordinary and amazing! He is more than a singer to me… he is an artist, a great artist at that! I can wait to seem him succeed in the music industry. Watch out guys for he will rock and hit the charts, and those people who rooted for the other finalist will surely have second thoughts!

i have to say as an almost 50 yr old woman, adam lambert rocks. i grew up with the likes of elvis, joplin, the beatles, the doors,all different in their own right but classics. he is a breath of fresh air compared the multiple shades of beige that has been on the pop scene over the last 10+ years. his creativity is a breath of fresh air and his voice a cross between freddy mercury and steven tyler. he can sing anything and i am so excited to see what he comes up with next and yes…i will buy his album.

I agree that Adam Lambert is a Rock Genius!!!!!! Remember, we never would have heard of him if it weren't for
American Idol!!!!! I was so disappointed that he did not win last night, I was literally in tears. THEN, I thought this man
is going to go further than any contestant we are ever going to witness. I had goose bumps watching the KISS video again.
This man rocks my world!!!! I shouldn't admit that, because he is too young!!!! Congratulations to a fine young man!!! I

He is so extraordinary. He must have been told before hand that Kris won, he's eyes are teary, but totally nailed the performance, as usual. Sadly the Tuesday Adam Lambert Variety show is over, now we get to wait for the albums, cd's and music videos. Oh yes the videos. Movies, Broadway, he has it all awaiting his decision and our adoration.

Loved this performance…Awesome!
Two things especially stand out for me:
1. Adam totally fit in and when one of the KISS members somewhere in the middle of the song finishes his solo he says “Adam” and then Adam takes over…which was so cool.
2. When the KISS member is trying to break the guitar at the end it could've been embarrassing but Adam the consumate professional says “again” and keeps the Rocker shriek going until the darn thing finally breaks.
WHAT A PROFESSIONAL! Oh and one more thing, the high fives at the end. The band obviously appreciated and admired Adam!
Adam showed his SHOWMANSHIP & and I LOVE that about him…!!!
ADAM THANK YOU SO MUCH for entertaining people all over the world this year and there are millions of people of all sexes, races, religions and nations breathlessly waiting to buy your first CD…HURRY UP!

My life is not going to be the same without the anticipation of Adam on Tuesday night and chewing my nails all day Wednesday just knowing he's got to be picked again to perform again. I spoted Adam in the auditions and told everyone, he's got it!..and, boy was I spot on….I am from Arkansas and the fact that AT&T in Little Rock area gave out free all the phones and data needed for each person to text thousands and thousands of votes totally almost
40 million votes for a state with a total population of 2.8 million(and, that's counting babies, toddlers, grannies, etc.)so, all 2.8 did not vote for Kris),,is cheating any way you look at it. Victory is never sweet when tainted and I do believe what goes around, comes around. There were a lot in my state for Adam, too. As a Christian, what Danny's minister and other ministers told parishoners to do..”vote for a believer” was apalling to me! They got it all wrong….The fact that Adam was raised Jewish has nothing to do with his talent. Jesus was a Jew and Jews were/are God's chosen people…..Adam is amazing and the most amazing thing besides his incredible talent is the way he has handled all of this. With humility and a sincere feeling for his friend, Kris and the fact that he was given the opportunity to go on each week and entertain all of American and the world for that matter. His Mom and Dad should be so very proud of him. I don't have children, but, had I been able to, I could only hope that I could have as fine a young man as Adam is. When he visited the children at Met2, it was just awesome..He is such a sensitive feeling and caring person..I am very proud of him and will promote him at each and every opportunity I can. God bless you Adam and I feel real sure he's going to bless you in many ways in the future…

The best musical performance on television in years. You touched our hearts with BETH, drove us over the moon with excitement with Rock and Roll All Night with Kiss, and then finally gave us We Are The Champions with Queen.
