‘Empire’ Season 2 Spoilers To Know Before The Premiere

Empire Season 2 is back this week, and fans couldn’t be more excited. As last year’s hottest and most talked about new show, the series has set a high bar and is seemingly going big in Season 2 to live up to the hype.

The Latin Times reports that, before Empire returns for Season 2, there are some serious spoilers that fans should know, so let’s break them down.

According to the report, the season will have more episodes and be split in two. As fans may remember, Season 1 had only 12 episodes, while Season 2 will have at least 18 and be split into two with a break in between. This is a common practice for a lot of shows, including Pretty Little Liars and The Walking Dead.

Fans can also expect more original music written just for the show. Ne-Yo has joined the legendary Timbaland to write even more original songs for Season 2 of Empire, and they’re sure to be just as good as, if not better than, last season!

Meanwhile, the series is really stepping up their guest stars. Last year, we watched Raven Symone, Patti LaBelle, Snoop Dogg, and more make appearances on the show, and Season 2 will be no different. Celebrities confirmed to guest star in the coming episodes include Chris Rock, Ludacris, Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Mariah Carey, Becky G, Pitbull, and many others.

One new cast member may be the one to catch Cookie’s eye. Actor Adam Rodriguez, who previously starred in Magic Mike XXL, will have a reoccurring role and could be Ms. Cookie Lyon’s newest love interest, especially since Lucious is now in jail. However, fans believe that Lucious won’t be behind bars for too long.

Christian Today reports that right off the bat, Cookie Lyon will have her first attempt at running Empire without Lucious. It seems that she and her sons, especially Jamal, whom Lucious revealed he was going to leave the company to, will have a lot of work to do.

Will Andre be well enough to continue his work? Can HaKeem control his temper and jealousy enough to work alongside his mother and brother? Will Jamal make the right decisions for the company while Lucious is in prison? Can Cookie really handle the pressure of running the show without the family’s patriarch? Fans can’t wait to find out how it will all play out when Season 2 starts on Wednesday, September 23.
