Mariah Carey Rocks Red Carpet Debut With Billionaire Beau James Packer After Nick Cannon Split [Video]

Mariah Carey and her new boyfriend just appeared on the red carpet for the first time. Meet Mariah’s new guy pal, James Packer, who just happens to be one of the few eligible bachelors who doesn’t seem to feel stressed about Carey’s money power. The Australian billionaire beamed lovingly at Mariah, reported MSN.

Carey and Packer looked happy as they rocked the red carpet at the debut of The Intern, said an observer.

“They were really cute together!” added the source. “James was leading Mariah through the theater room and had his hand on her back. Mariah looked very proud to be there with James.”

And although the observer thought that Packer seemed to be less noticeable than Carey, it was obvious that he adored her. As for how Mariah felt, she revealed her feelings while complimenting The Intern star Anne Hathaway.

“It’s fun,” declared Carey about the red carpet premiere. “We love [Anne Hathaway]. [She’s] the best.”

And that fan-girl fondness isn’t one-sided. Hathaway owned a toy when she was young that was dubbed in honor of Mariah’s Charmbracelet album.

“Oh my, that is too cute,” smiled Carey. “Come on, we love her.”

Hathaway co-stars with Robert De Niro in her new movie.

Mariah also commented previously about her romance with Packer.

“It’s fun, I’m not gonna lie,” admitted Carey.

But is it all roses and romance for Mariah and her billionaire beau?

Carey and Packer seemed to have some problems within the Ziegfeld Theatre for their premiere appearance, reported the Daily Mail.

The 48-year-old casino businessman appeared to be protesting an issue with a publicist. But except for that showdown, both Mariah and James were upbeat, providing PDA for paparazzi as they made their red carpet premiere as a dynamic duo.

The appearance follows reports that they had canoodled on secretive vacations and enjoyed luxurious voyages on yachts. But now, as Packer permitted himself a smile, he and Carey seem to have decided it’s time to allow the public to bask in the glamorous reflection of their love.

Although Mariah is accustomed to being in the spotlight, James grew weary of the attention, and quietly looked at his phone during Carey’s interview session.

The 45-year-old mother of two has included her twins on one of their trips, and little Moroccan and Monroe even had the opportunity to try out jet skis.

Although James and Mariah were acquainted for some time, they began dating only after Packer separated from his wife and Carey ended her marriage with Nick Cannon.
