Amy Mickelson, Phil Mickelson’s wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer after recent tests turned up a problem.
Amy Mickelson’s diagnosis was found to be serious enough where surgery is said to be scheduled within the next 2 weeks. Phil, a pro golfer, has canceled the next two tournaments on his schedule, this week’s HP Byron Nelson and next week’s Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, where is the defending champion.
Amy Mickelson is one of the most sociable wives on the PGA Tour. She is a former Phoenix Suns cheerleader and regularly walks around talking to people in the gallery during games.

Each time I hear of another woman diagnosed with breast cancer I say a little prayer and think here is another member in a club nobody wants to join.
I know exactly the emotional roller coaster you are now on. It does get better and the love and support of family, friends and 1000's of people you have never met will help you through this journey.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer 10 years ago and there is life after this diagnosis. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
