Larry David Jokes About Jordan Spieth’s Impending Baldness

Larry David likes to make jokes about Jordan Spieth, particularly his impending baldness.

When asked if he had any thoughts on the 22-year-old, during a recent interview with Golf Digest, the Seinfeld co-creator and avid golf player commented on his very noticeable receding hairline.

“He’s going to be a bald man. He’s going to be wildly bald. This makes him way more appealing to me. It’s one thing to handle the pressure of the back nine at Augusta; let’s see how he does when he sees all that hair in the tub. That’s pressure. I’ll be watching him very carefully. He’s 22. He’s got three years, maybe four. He’s done.”

Luckily, Jordan has a sense of humor. Speaking to ESPN’s Jason Sobel, he said he saw the article and thought it was “pretty funny.”

“Yeah, that was pretty funny,” Spieth told Sobel. “Hey, nothing I can do about it.”

Spieth is aware that he is gradually growing bald, and this isn’t the first time anyone has taken a crack at his hair, or lack thereof. In April, Matt Kuchar and Jordan Spieth threw shots at one another while speaking to a reporter following their first round together at the RBC Heritage, according to USA Today For The Win.

“My legs are a little tired, but all in all that happens,” Spieth said, when asked if fatigue played a factor in his score. “I played four?week stretches I feel that, and it normally doesn’t affect anything. So it was just an off?day. Kuchar is older than me, and he’s at the end of a four?week stretch. And he kicked my butt today, so I’ve got some work to do.”

Immediately after Spieth’s interview, Kuchar spoke to the reporters, and weighed in on Spieth’s “Kuchar being older” comment.

“I may be older, but we have similar hairlines,” Kuchar joked.
