Kristen Doute’s Ex-Boyfriend And ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Co-Star James Kennedy Is ‘Happier Without’ Her

Kristen Doute and her former boyfriend, James Kennedy, have split, and according to a source, it’s for the best.

“Trust issues between [Kristen Doute] and James turned into arguments,” a source told Entertainment Tonight on September 15. “It didn’t really make sense since James was always concerned about [Kristen Doute] cheating on him. Unanswered calls from James got boring.”

Kristen Doute began dating Kennedy after filming Season 2 of Vanderpump Rules, and during the Vanderpump Rules Season 2 reunion, the couple made their debut. However, throughout Season 3, which aired last winter, Kristen Doute was seen obsessing over her ex-boyfriend’s relationship with Ariana Madix.

According to Kristen Doute, Tom Sandoval cheated on Madix, and she would stop at nothing to prove it. She even enlisted his alleged hookup, Annemarie Kunkel, to come to SUR Lounge and confront Sandoval with claims of their alleged relationship.

Needless to say, Kristen Doute’s meddling in Sandoval’s relationship was a bother to Kennedy, and often, they were seen feuding over the issue. At one point, the couple’s tension exploded in the parking lot of Scheana Marie and Mike Shay’s wedding, which made for quite the shocking moment on Vanderpump Rules Season 3. After beginning to argue during the reception, the two ended up in the parking lot, where Kristen Doute hit Kennedy in the face.

Now, as he moves on from his relationship with Kristen Doute, whom the source said he never thought of Doute as “the one,” Kennedy appears to have found someone new.

“James doesn’t regret anything with [Kristen Doute]. He believes that everything happens for a reason and everything is a learning experience. He seems happier without [Kristen Doute] in his life.”

As for Kennedy’s possible new girl, the source said the Louisiana native has “the cutest Southern accent ever,” and the couple enjoyed a Labor Day vacation together in New Orleans. However, at this point, it doesn’t appear they are serious.

“The two met at PUMP Restaurant while James was DJing. He went up to her and introduced himself… James is focused on work right now. He just finished writing and producing his album, PUMP Sessions by James Kennedy, which will be out later this year.”

Kristen Doute was rumored to have moved on from Kennedy with Brian Carter, but on Twitter, she denied being in a relationship.
