Miley Cyrus: Is Hollywood ‘Wild Child’ Heading To Rehab?

Miley Cyrus and rumors about drug use are never too hard to find. Cyrus has certainly gone from Disney’s clean-cut Hannah Montana star to Hollywood wild child, and she has given the gossip columns plenty of ammunition. Over the course of the past few months, there have been numerous claims that Cyrus has an addiction to prescription drugs. There have also been claims that Miley uses illegal narcotics, and Cyrus has used her social media feeds to share pictures of herself seemingly abusing drugs.

Last week, the Mirror reported that Cyrus has admitted that some of her friends turned against her and accused her of using drugs after her now-infamous appearance with Robin Thicke during the 2013 VMAs. During that performance, Miley put on a raunchy show with Thicke, and afterward, she claims that friends assumed that she was high on drugs at the time.

The Mirror says that Miley told the New York Times that she didn’t understand the reaction.

“People around me really judged me. People that I really loved and thought were my friends judged me for it. They were like, ‘You were on drugs when you did that performance.’ I did nothing! I still don’t get it.”

Miley says that she had no regrets about that performance, but she has changed since then. Breitbart reports that back in April of this year, Miley was widely criticized after she shared an image of herself hooked up to an IV line and joked about being a junkie. The IV was apparently an infusion of vitamins, and Miley was adamant that she was not using hard drugs. She has admitted to a love of marijuana, though.

Now Life & Style claim that Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus, has begged her to check into rehab. Apparently, an “unnamed insider” told the magazine that her mom believes that Miley’s “bizarre behavior, angry outbursts and bouts of depression are due to drug and alcohol abuse.”

It is claimed that Tish has even reached out to two of Miley’s ex-boyfriends, Liam Hemsworth and Patrick Schwarzenegger, to help stage an intervention.

According to Hollywood Gossip, a source claims, “Tish knows how much Miley loved them both, so she asked Liam and Patrick to call Miley separately and convince her to check into a 30-day program.”

This is not the first time that this particular piece of Cyrus gossip has made the rounds. Back in January of this year, OK! magazine ran a virtually identical piece. On that occasion, it was claimed that a source told the magazine that Miley mother was desperate to check her daughter into rehab.

They quoted an “unnamed source” who said, “Miley has always been open with her parents, telling them that drugs help to expand her mind, but Tish has reached the point where she can’t stand by and let her daughter destroy herself.”
