Miranda Simms Makes Her Twitter Account Private Following ‘Teen Mom 2’ Backlash

Miranda Simms and her husband, Corey, faced backlash on Facebook after last week’s episode of Teen Mom 2, and now, Miranda Simms’ Twitter account has been removed from public access. As of September 2, when fans visit Miranda Simms’ account, they are informed she is no longer allowing those she hasn’t allowed to follow her to see her tweets.

“@mirandabridget’s Tweets are protected. Only confirmed followers have access to @mirandabridget’s Tweets and complete profile. Click the ‘Follow’ button to send a follow request,” a message on Miranda Simms’ account now reads.

Miranda Simms married Corey in 2013, two years after his divorce from Leah Messer, with whom he shares 5-year-old twin girls, Ali and Aleeah. Since they wed, Corey and Miranda Simms have been co-parenting the twins with Messer, and things have often been strained.

Then, during filming on Season 6, the Simms’ relationship with Messer took a turn for the worse after they sat down to discuss their issues at a local restaurant. During their chat, Messer told Corey and Miranda Simms of her plans to enter treatment, and in turn, she was faced with allegations of hiding a “drug problem.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Corey and Miranda Simms were attacked by critical fans following the August 27 episode of Teen Mom 2 Season 6, which featured Messer saying her goodbyes before entering treatment. Below are a few of the messages shared by fans regarding Corey and Miranda Simms’ on-screen behavior toward his ex-wife, via Jobs & Hire.

“I’m a step mom and feel [Corey Simms]’s wife is over stepping and talking down to Leah She needs to let Corey and Leah work it out and then just be a great step mom for the kids.”

“How about offer to HELP her instead of putting her down?! It’s clear she’s struggling. She needs support. Threatening to take the girls isn’t help or support.”

“Leah obviously needs help and she is at least seeking help. Corey and Miranda only want the fame and to make Leah look bad. They already forced her to have a drug test and she passed.”

While Miranda Simms has faced plenty of criticism for her comments to and about Messer, she and Simms claim to only have his children’s best interest in mind.
