Zooey Deschanel’s New Baby Looks Just Like Her, Gushes Co-Star

Zooey Deschanel’s new baby looks just like her, according to co-star Lamorne Morris, and to him that means the baby looks “extremely cute.”

The New Girl star gave birth to a baby girl a month ago, and Zooey has not introduced the baby to the public so far.

The baby was welcomed by Deschanel and her husband, Jacob Pechenik, a month after they were married. The couple have not released the name of the new baby just yet, according to People.

However, lucky actor Lamorne Morris got to see the baby and thinks Zooey Deschanel’s new baby looks just like her. “She’s an extremely cute baby,” the 32-year-old co-star told People at the Television Academy’s Dynamic & Diverse Emmy cocktail party in Beverly Hills. “She looks like Zooey.”

Morris revealed that he knows the name of Deschanel’s baby, but he’s wisely not spilling the beans before the parents get a chance to let everyone know at the right time for their family. He did go on to explain why he thinks the baby looks so adorable: she’s the daughter of Zooey Deschanel and Jacob Pechenik, of course!

“Two good-looking parents will make a good-looking kid. Unless there’s that one where you’re like, ‘Oh, you’re going to make a terrible child.’ But that was not gonna happen with these two.”

Apparently, Zooey Deschanel is a very health-conscious eater, which her co-star expects will carry over into motherhood. He said, “She’s very smart. Very healthy. She’ll teach her daughter how to eat right, that’s for sure.”

In fact, Morris bought Deschanel a baby food maker for the new baby. “I got her a baby food maker. She can make her own baby food and use her natural ingredients. I doubt she’s going out to buy that processed junk,” he guessed about his 35-year-old co-star.

Aside from food advice, Zooey Deschanel has other helpful life advice for her co-workers. Morris said, “She gives me advice on every aspect of my life. Family, finances…”

Overall, Deschanel’s co-star knows Zooey will be a great mom to her little girl because “she’s a great mom to us on set” and because “she puts the hammer down on the craziness we do from time to time.”

Zooey Deschanel’s new baby looks just like her and will have lots of good life advice (and healthy food) as she grows up. It sounds like she’s off to a wonderful start already.
