‘I Am Jazz’ Star Being Taken On By One Million Moms Group

Jazz Jennings, of I Am Jazz, is now dealing with a new battle as the Facebook group, One Million Moms, has decided to take Jazz on, according to Care 2. This show is about a young girl who is transgender and has always known that she felt more like a girl than a boy. I Am Jazz talks about a sensitive topic that a lot of shows used to shy away from, but with the coming out of Caitlyn Jenner, it has made it easier to put this out there for the world to make their own judgement.

LGBT media watchdog and campaign group GLAAD have both raved about Jazz’s television show, I Am Jazz, saying that everyone should watch it. She has been in the news since the age of 11, when she started participating in television specials and even put out a book about her life. This series shows how well adjusted Jazz is, and how her parents have supported her every single step of the way during this journey.

The group One Million Moms has about 75,000 likes on their Facebook page. They recently shared how they feel like this show is going to make young people watch it, since I Am Jazz is based on the life of a young teenage transgender girl. They went on to attack Jazz’s parents for supporting her decision instead of giving her the guidance they feel like she needed instead. It doesn’t sound like they plan to let it go anytime soon, either. They recently also decided to take on a show on their Facebook page called “Impastor” on TV Land, because the group thinks that it shows pastors in a bad light and that is unacceptable.

Jazz Jennings is very vocal on her Twitter page about how she has known from a very young age that she was transgender. Recently, Jennings posted a picture of herself as a young child, still with short hair like a boy, and it was obvious Jazz has always loved glitter and being pretty.

You can catch new episodes of her show, I Am Jazz, on TLC on Wednesday nights. This is your chance to get to know Jazz Jennings and make up your own mind about how you feel about this transgender teenager. Do you think that One Million Moms is taking it too far by taking on this show? Sound off in the comments on your thoughts.
