According to E! News, the pop star has shows at Planet Hollywood’s Axis Theater through the end of the year, but she hasn’t signed a contract that would extend her residency into 2016. When asked about her plans to continue her Piece Of Me show, Britney said that she is not quite sure what she wants to do in the new year.

“I haven’t made up my mind. I really love doing the show. It’s a lot, a lot of fun but I’m kind of torn right now. I don’t really know what I want to do,” said Britney at Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards.

Britney Spears performed her 100th show in Las Vegas on Friday night, but may be ready to head out on the road. She is working on some new music, and fans are hopeful that she will release another album sometime in the coming year.

“We’re having fun right now. I’m working with some women who are amazing writers. I have ballads and, of course, dance music—fun cheeky sexy stuff,” Spears said. According to Billboard, Spears has been hitting the studio quite a bit over the past few months, and fans are super excited to hear more about another album.

Spears’ last album Britney Jean was released in 2013. Since then, she has had just a couple of singles. Pretty Girls featuring Iggy Azalea wasn’t as popular as Britney had hoped, however, and left many fans wanting more. Her collaboration with Giorgio Moroder was released in June, and is a remix of the track “Tom’s Diner.” The song is quite popular to begin with, and Brit’s vocals sound amazing. Check it out below.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jennifer Lopez has confirmed that she will be doing a residency in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood in 2016, after she wraps American Idol. This suggests that Britney will only be doing a couple of shows in the new year if she decides to extend her contract.

Fans who are unable to get to Las Vegas to see Britney Spears are seriously hoping that she releases another album and heads out on an international tour. This way, fans all over the world could have an opportunity to see Brit closer to where they live.
