‘Bake It Off’: Taylor Swift Records Every Episode Of ‘The Great British Bake Off’

Don’t be surprised if America’s favorite pop celebrity will be singing “bake it off” rather than “shake it off,” as Taylor Swift records every episode of The Great British Bake Off, according to a source close to her. Apparently, the 25-year-old superstar asks members of her management staff to record every episode of the show, which she binge-watches when she has a rare, but well-deserved break.

She’s particularly interested in the show’s 80-year-old judge, Mary Berry, who is the queen of judges on the show.

One source explains Swift’s obsession.

“She’s obsessed. After recently binge-watching the last series she’s now loving the current one, especially queen judge Mary Berry.”

T-Swift seems to fancy herself an amateur baker as a result of this obsession.

“The Great British Bake Off is giving her new ideas for recipes in the kitchen which she’s already been trying out.”

She’s not the only star that has joined Mary Berry fever. The same source reports that Taylor has convinced Lorde to join her in the baking action. They chat about the show over the phone, discussing their latest baking adventures and their favorite parts of each episode.

Though it’s not clear how she performs in the kitchen, it’s clear that in the recording studio, not many artists make it quite as big as Taylor Swift.

Still, despite her success, she barely makes the list of greatest songwriters of all time, sneaking in at 97th place. Contemporary songwriters ahead of her right now include Kanye West (84), Jay Z (82), and Bjork (81). Still, the singer-songwriter is still very young, and as she continues to produce more songs, she may steadily climb the list.

In other news, Swift came on stage as the “sixth” harmony when she performed “Worth It” with Fifth Harmony on Friday during her concert. She asked the singing group to join her in her 1989 World Tour concert in Santa Clara, California. After the show, Swift posted photos of the event and tweeted, “I want to be in Fifth Harmony.”

“Bad Blood” was one song featured in that concert, but that’s not the only place it was heard during this week. Miranda Sings and Tori Kelly teamed up to sing a shocking rendition of the song, and it quickly went viral.

The comedic actress and the “Nobody Love” singer teamed up to show off their “impressive vocals” in a frankly annoying, but hilarious rendition of the song. It was posted Friday evening, and in less than 24 hours has received more than 700,000 views.

Swift could have easily been offended by the horribly awkward cover, but she took it in stride, and even seemed to enjoy the video, tweeting the video.

“And now treat your ears to the vocal event of the year, @mirandasings & @torikelly gloriously covering ‘Bad Blood.'”

Whether or not Taylor Swift can “bake it off” is a matter of opinion, but there’s no denying that she’s got both talent and style.
