Katy Perry Snags The Cover Of ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ September 2015 Issue — Twice!

Katy Perry is the next pop star to snag a cover on the September 2015 issue of a major fashion magazine.

Katy Perry, 30, took to Instagram to share her cover on the September 2015 issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine. The cover features Perry in a black tulle trimmed black Saint Laurent gown that fans over her face.

Perry shared the official cover on Instagram. She include the caption: “PEEK-A-BOO! The Icons issue shot by the LEGENDARY Jean-Paul Goude! So rad to be able to share this issue with some of my favs & inspirationals like @Oprah and @gweelos. Grab on to see the incredible transformations! Dress by Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane. @harpersbazaarus #BAZAARIcons.”

Katy also wears red lips and sleek black hair for her high-fashion cover. The “Dark Horse” singer is making her debut for the magazine’s “ICONS” issues. Katy also channeled Elizabeth Taylor by recreating an Andy Warhol painting. On the alternative cover, the original photo of Elizabeth is cut in half with Katy mimicking the bold emerald green eye shadow and diamond earrings.

Perry also wears a hairstyle that’s similar to Elizabeth’s iconic Old Hollywood hairstyle.

The international pop star explained to Harper’s Bazaar on why she feels Elizabeth Taylor is such a style icon. In true Katy Perry fashion, she explained that she’ll probably emulate the actress’s relationships.

“An icon transcends time. Liz was so fabulous and decadent and had a style that evolved with the years…And I’m sure I’ll be married just as many times!”

Katy also snagged the September 2015 issue of Vogue Japan. This time though, the pop tart shows off plenty of cleavage as she poses in sexy lingerie. Katy also shows off her pixie hair cut, which is a departure from her long hair and bangs look.

Perry shared the full-length version of the cover with the caption: “VOGUE JAPAN #septemberissue @voguejapan Tap for credits.”

There’s also an alternative cover which shows the performer rocking a sweet and flirty pink dress with embellished flowers and ribbons. Katy’s alternative cover is anything but sweet and demure though. You can check out the rest of Katy’s sexy looks in the issue at the Vogue Japan website.

Katy Perry is just one of three pop stars who snagged a cover for the September 2015 issue for a major fashion magazine. Perry’s rumored enemy Taylor Swift graced the cover of Vanity Fair’s September 2015 issue. Meanwhile, Swift’s newest enemy Miley Cyrus landed the cover of Marie Claire.
