Adam Cook, David Cook’s brother dies from brain cancer

Adam Cook, the brother of American Idol winner David Cook died yesterday after an eleven year battle with brain cancer.

David Cook made the announcement Sunday morning (May 3) in Washington D.C., where he was serving as grand marshal at the Race For Hope 5K.

David told the crowd “I actually lost my brother yesterday to a brain tumor and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else right now. I lost one today but I gained 9,000 and I will be here every year that they will have me.” David’s team raised more than $40,000 for cancer research at the event.

Adam is survived by his wife Kendra Cowen-Cook and their two children, Gage and Gracie Cowen-Cook.
