Are Robert Pattinson And FKA Twigs Trying For Babies? ‘Twilight’ Star Says He ‘Definitely’ Wants To Be A Father

Robert Pattinson, who is now engaged to British singer FKA Twigs, apparently has babies on the mind. In an interview with Jolie magazine, the Twilight star talked about his upcoming role as a father in Life, and whether or not he thinks he will have children of his own someday.

“Definitely, although I still do not know when. Therefore I was so attracted by the role in Life,” Pattinson stated when asked if he could see himself with kids in the future. “At my age, you do not get so many chances to play a father—and certainly not one who leaves his family in the lurch,” he explained, adding “Personally I imagine it different, of course.”

In addition to the talk on children, Pattison also discussed some of his traits as an actor, revealing that can be a little controlling at times.

“Well, someone who voluntarily stands in front of a camera needs to have a bit self-confidence,” he explained in the interview. “Nevertheless, I am also shy. And a little control freak. Not the best combination for an actor, because the control has indeed the director…”

Robert Pattinson went on to reveal that he has always felt the need to make a name for himself in Hollywood, and that he wished his sense of self-importance was a little greater.

“I’ve always had the feeling of having to prove myself as an actor, as a star, as a human being. This might have kept me more on the ground,” he said. “Although I have often wished I had a bigger ego—then I might have been able to enjoy the bustle a bit more.”

Meanwhile, although Pattinson is famous for his role in the hit Twilight franchise, his fiancee recently revealed that she’s never even seen the movies and tends to stay away from all the talk of fame.

“I don’t understand what the levels [of fame] are,” Twigs recently told the Times. “I’m a bit naive. I don’t read Heat [magazine], for example. I don’t engage in that world, even with myself, even with my own career.”

In a similar mode, Twigs also talked about her high profile relationship with Pattinson. Although the two were recently photographed together during the 2015 Met Gala in New York City, Twigs stated that she likes to keep things private.

“That’s all I want to be,” she explained. “I’m such a home bod.”

No wedding plans have been announced for the duo. While he waits to wed, Robert Pattinson is currently in Belfast to shoot The Lost City of Z with Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam.
