Ben Affleck: Buddy Matt Damon Insists His Pal is ‘Doing Great’ Since Split, Reps Say Nanny Story Is ‘B.S.’

Ben Affleck arrived with longtime pal and talented actor Mat Damon at the premiere of the HBO series Project Greenlight on Monday evening in L.A. Affleck appeared content and was all smiles while continuing to wear his wedding ring.

The event, which was held at the Ace Hotel, brought the gentlemen out looking their most dapper, as Ben sauntered along the red carpet in a stylish blue suit, sans tie complemented by a clean cut appearance. While making the walk along the carpet, Affleck was not up for chatting with reporters, yet did stop to sign a Daredevil poster for fans and to chat with those who came out in his support. An onlooker told People Magazine, the 42-year-old said to his enthusiastic fans, “You guys are crazy.”

Although Affleck was able to find his way to the end of the carpeted path without uttering a word to reporters and media members, People notes his pal Matt Damon spoke a few words in regards to the Gone Girl star’s current state.

“He’s great, he’s great. He’s got a big smile on his face.”

When questioned about Ben’s upcoming birthday, Damon responded cheekily.

” Yeah, I wish him well, but he’s forty-three, it’s kind of like, meh. What is forty-three? It’s not forty, it’s not forty-five, it’s forty-three. It’s a forgettable birthday.”

Since Affleck and Garner announced they would be divorcing after 10 years of marriage, Ben has been spotted on numerous occasions – as has Jen – still wearing a wedding ring. The couple made a public announcement to verify the speculations that were being made of a pending split.

“After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.”

However, rumors have been making the rounds that Affleck carried on and may still be involved in a romantic relationship with a nanny that once worked for the celebrity couple and took care of their three children. Although Ben firmly denies these claims, accounts and reports keep coming about the 28-year-old nanny, Christine Ouzounian.

Reps for Affleck, recently spoke on his behalf to the Mirror, noting that the star is livid about the claims.

“The story is BS and harmful to many.”
