110-Year-Old Woman Shares Secrets For Longevity And It’s Not What You Think

At 110-yerars-old, this woman has a few secrets for longevity, but don’t expect to hear that she took care of herself by eating healthy and exercising.

Agnes Fenton of Englewood, New Jersey is feeling and looking great at 110-years-old, but how has she managed what most can only dream of is truly amazing. This super woman celebrated the incredible milestone last Saturday, and she doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.

As she marks the remarkable milestone, Agnes did so with her usual champagne and scotch. The 110-year-old is so notorious she received a message from President Obama himself and when she turned 100, Englewood declared her birthday “Agnes Fenton Day.”

According to the Elite Daily, Dr. Kenneth Wasserman — her physician for almost 20-years — can’t credit how she is still with us. He calls her health “phenomenal” and said her only close call with a serious illness came when they discovered a tumor many years ago.

“The few things she’s had wrong with her have disappeared in ways they should not have. She’s completely, thoroughly amazing.”

After the tumor was successfully removed, Fenton received some less-than-conventional advice on how to stay young, which she revealed to ABC five years ago. According to the 110-year-old woman, she was told by her doctor to drink three Miller High Life, and so she followed the advice.

So this is Agnes’ secret for living to be 110-years-old. Three beers and a glass of the very expensive Johnnie Walker Blue Label scotch every day for the past 70 years.

However, in recent years, her caregivers have laid her off of the alcohol as her eating has changed. Agnes doesn’t eat as much as she used to so that amount of alcohol can be harmful to her health. Research suggests those who live to be centenarians have good genes, consistent routines, and low stress to thank.

In all seriousness, 110-year-old Agnes Fenton believes there is a more important reason she is still alive.

“When I was 100 years old, I went to the mirror to thank God that I was still here. And I thank him every morning. He gave me a long life and a good life, and I have nothing to complain about… You’ve got to have God in your life. Without God, you’ve got nothing.”

Living to be a supercentenarian such as 110-year-old, Agnes Fenton is so rare that only one in every 10 million or 360 people on Earth are that old.
