Kaitlyn Bristowe And Shawn Booth Admit They ‘Don’t Work’: Will They Cash In On TV Wedding?

Now that the Bachelorette is over, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth are transitioning from TV life to real life. What’s next for the newly engaged couple after they wrap up their media tour?

Next on their list is spending time catching up with their families and figuring out where they will live — in Vancouver or Nashville. During an interview with E! Online(video below), the couple was asked if their jobs will dictate where they live and Kaitlyn admitted that they “don’t work.”

“We’re just chill. We’re going to do what we want to do when we want to do it.”

She went on to say that she would consider going on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars, and they both agreed that they are open to having a TV wedding because “it would be fun.” Perhaps they were thinking how much money they would make if they got the gigs?

For months, fans have been wondering what Kaitlyn does for a living. After filming the Bachelor, which is reportedly an unpaid gig for contestants, she went on to film the Bachelorette. While it is not clear how much she earned, previous Bachelorette and Bachelor leads have reportedly made as much as six figures doing the show.

Kaitlyn’s bio on ABC states that she is a “dance instructor” — where she taught remains a mystery. According to Shawn’s bio, he is a “personal trainer,” but previous to his time on the Bachelorette, he worked as a loss control consultant an Nashville insurance company, resigning from the company with this letter right before he started filming in L.A.

The couple doesn’t seem to be in a rush to get real jobs, and may end up making enough money from public appearances, a possible gig on DWTS, and a TV wedding to keep the “no work” gig going for awhile.

However, a wedding may be a long way away and there is no guarantee ABC will offer to foot the bill. With no plans to tie the knot soon, Kaitlyn, 30, tells E!, “In a couple years, maybe?” I mean, I guess I want kids before I’m 35, so before that.”

Shawn stressed that they want to enjoy the engagement first, stating that they are “taking it day-by-day” and will start planning “when things settle down a bit.”

If Kaitlyn is asked to be part of the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars, things won’t settle down for awhile. The cast announcement will come in late August, with a premiere date set for September 14.
