Nina Dobrev Lounges In Bikini, Hangs With Boyfriend, Austin Stowell, On Tropical Vacation
Nina Dobrev has a skimpy bikini and a new boyfriend, and The Vampire Diaries alum showed them both off at a sun-soaked vacation to St. Tropez this week.
The 26-year-old actress recently started dating actor Austin Stowell, and the two have been having a great time on their tropical getaway. Dobrev has been sharing some pictures and video from their trip, including an Instagram video where she is sliding down a water slide backward into the blue water behind her.

Nina Dobrev was also spotted kissing her new boyfriend while wearing a skimpy bikini. The couple had plenty of activities planned, including jet ski riding and swimming, Us Weekly noted.
The relationship with Austin Stowell comes after Nina’s highly-publicized split with Vampire Diaries co-star Ian Somerhalder in May, 2013. The two remained on good terms, and were even able to make light of their split at the People’s Choice awards in January, 2014, E! News noted.
The two noted how they had called off their relationship, but still had to work together.
“And yet our characters are still dating on the show,” Somerhalder said.
“It’s a good thing it’s not awkward,” Dobrev joked.
Recently Nina revealed that the relationship ended amicably.
“I’ve said this before, that we didn’t break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn’t love or friendship,” Dobrev told E! News recently. “I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he’s great and I care about him. And that didn’t change. Yes, we’re professional and that’s fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now.”
Both Nina and Ian seem to have bounced back well. Dobrev seems quite happy with her new boyfriend, and Somerhalder went on to marry Twilight star Nikki Reed this year.
Nina has since left the show, telling Instagram followers that she was ready to end her work as Elena Gilbert.
“I always knew I wanted Elena’s story to be a six season adventure, and within those six years I got the journey of a lifetime. I was a human, a vampire, a doppelganger, a crazy immortal, a doppelganger pretending to be human, a human pretending to be a doppelganger. I got kidnapped, killed, resurrected, tortured, cursed, body-snatched, was dead and undead, and there’s still so much more to come before the season finale in May.”
Nina Dobrev seemed to enjoy lounging in her bikini and canoodling with her new boyfriend, and she may have more time for it in the near future. After leaving Vampire Diaries she doesn’t appear to have any projects in the immediate future.
