Miranda Lambert Canceled Concert During Divorce Filing
Miranda Lambert canceled a concert date due to an illness a few weeks ago. Now that we have the knowledge that Blake Shelton filed for divorce, does this mean that Lambert’s illness was just an excuse to possibly mourn the end of her marriage? Perhaps.
According to documents, Blake Shelton filed for divorce on July 6. Their divorce was finalized on July 20. The papers were filed under Shelton’s attorney’s name instead of his own, probably to keep their identities private.
At the time that Lambert canceled her show in Calgary, Canada, the country singer wrote on her blog, “I can’t believe this is happening. I am sure most of you heard the news about the show in Calgary having to be rescheduled due to my vocal issues. Thanks for all your posts and well wishes, I promise I will do everything to get better quickly!”
Following that, Miranda and Blake announced that they were divorcing after four years of marriage. At the time the two put out an official statement, “This is not the future we envisioned, and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.”
After that, rumors immediately started to surface about cheating. At first, it was suspected that Blake Shelton was cheating on Miranda Lambert with up and coming singer Cady Groves. After his camp denied such allegations, reports started to come out that Lambert had cheated on Shelton with country singer Chris Young and had an additional affair with someone else. It’s said that the second man, whoever he was, really put the nail in the coffin and that’s when Blake decided to file for divorce.
Despite the reports, country singer Chris Young decided to refute claims that he got in the middle of Blake and Miranda’s marriage. Young put out a statement via his Twitter, stating,”I don’t normally address gossip but in this case I will. My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda’s divorce. That is totally FALSE.”

As the Inquisitr reported, despite Blake being devastated, he did find time to joke around on Twitter with a few of his fans.
