Nicole Kidman Struggling With Passing Of Her Father, Wishes She Met Keith Earlier

It was only last September that Nicole Kidman suddenly lost her father, who was aged 75. In a rare interview with Vogue Magazine, Kidman communicates that she is still in grief and struggling with his passing, and rightly so.

When asked about the devastating topic during the interview, the 48-year-old was unable to fight back tears when giving her response.

“You’ve caught me at a time when I’m still recovering and in grief. There are times you go, ‘Gosh, I wish I could just go and hide in a hole and never come out.’ And then you go, ‘That was yesterday.’ I have a four-year-old and a six-year-old, and just hearing their laugh… it’s life in its most powerful form.”

It was a tragic loss, during which her beloved father fell and succumbed to the injuries brought on by the accident. Last October, Kidman was open with Ellen while on her talk show as a guest, as HNGN reminds. The publication recounts the actress’ words on the show, within which Kidman shared her devastation about the accident yet shared how she found support from her husband, Keith Urban.

“I’ve realized we don’t talk about it enough in terms of our society. Because at some point in our lives… everybody loses their parents and it’s awful. He has been so good to me for nine years, but for the last month, which has been a really tough time for me… he’s been amazing.”

Urban and Kidman have been a solid couple for a decade now, and the blond beauty who has two children with the country singer admitted to Vogue that she would have loved to have met him sooner in life.

“I wish I could have met him much earlier and had way more children with him. But I didn’t. I mean, if I could have had two more children with him, that would have been just glorious. But as Keith says, ‘The wanting mind, Nicole. Shut it down.’ “

Kidman is clearly still just as smitten with her superstar husband as she was the day she married him nine years earlier.

“I looked up at him at one point and I saw his tattoos and his foot going, and he had the guitar, and I was like, ‘God, I love that man. I’m so glad I’m in this world.’ “

In addition to her children she had with Keith, Kidman also has two adopted children with Tom Cruise, but it has been reported that Nicole has little contact with them and that Cruise has raised them in the faith of Scientology, which he is a devoted member of.
