WWE News: Sting Expected To Be Part Of 6-Man Tag Team Match At ‘WWE SummerSlam’ Against Wyatt Family

As seen on WWE Battleground last night, Luke Harper returned to help his mentor, Bray Wyatt, defeat Roman Reigns. It has been expected for some time that the Wyatt Family would pair back up. It was uncertain when it would occur, as it was set to happen months ago. Now, WWE is appearing to make it happen, which is why Harper and Wyatt joined forces yet again.

According to the Wrestling Observer, it was expected that The Wyatt Family would take on Sting, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns at WWE SummerSlam. Plans were hurt a bit when Erick Rowan went down with an injury. There was a rumor that an injury of some sort hurt plans for Sting at WWE SummerSlam, so now we know who it was. WWE could always go with Harper and Wyatt vs Reigns and Sting. However, it is expected that The Wyatt Family will add another member. Bo Dallas is the most likely candidate.

The thought is that WWE can get Reigns over a bit due to Sting being with him. However, WWE will be going to New York City. WWE fans there could always boo Reigns and cheer Sting. The Sting rub could help Reigns, but it is unknown as of this writing.

If WWE allows this to be a 6-man tag match, that will give Dean Ambrose something to do at least for a month. He wasn’t on the WWE Battleground PPV at all after main eventing just last month at WWE Money in the Bank. That said, fans would be ticked if Ambrose had nothing to do at WWE SummerSlam, as well.

This 6-man tag match is helpful for set-up. There have been rumors that Bray Wyatt will take on Sting at WrestleMania 32. This would allow us to get a feel of that without actually seeing it. Wyatt has said in the past that he wants to face Sting, and we all know the match would be great to see. It looks like that is where WWE is leading us.

Sting being back in any way could be fun, but many might be against him being part of a tag match over a one-on-one match. Whenever anyone from the Wyatt Family and Shield get in a 6-man match, though, things usually are really interesting to see — so if this 6-man goes down, it won’t be a match we will want to miss at WWE SummerSlam.
