Selena Gomez Dating Rumors: Is Selena Seeing Nick Jonas?
Selena Gomez has been the subject of a plethora of dating rumors recently. In the past few months, Gomez has been linked romantically to Ed Sheeran, Niall Horan, Alexander DeLeon, Cody Simpson, and, of course, Justin Bieber — rumors which all turned out to be false or exaggerated.
Now, Life & Style magazine is questioning whether Selena Gomez is dating Nick Jonas. According to the magazine, Gomez and Jonas were recently seen at the same dinner party. The magazine reports that Selena and Nick were the first to arrive, and “Selena seemed guarded, but Nick definitely tried to flirt with her!”
Another celebrity website refutes the claim, saying that the source Life & Style used to report the interaction between Gomez and Jonas is “unreliable.” In fact, the writers at Gossip Cop did everything they could to quickly squash the Selena-is-dating-Nick rumor.
“Gomez and Jonas were not on a ‘date,’ and he was not ‘flirting’ with her.”
Gossip Cop goes on to slam the Life & Style publication as a whole, reminding readers that the magazine has reported Selena Gomez to be pregnant several times, all of which turned out to be false.
Meanwhile, as Gossip Cop slammed Life & Style for the reports, other media outlets were reporting the same Gomez-Jonas rumor. For example, Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported that a Page Six source saw the couple together at Osteria in Los Angeles. Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported many of the same details as Life & Style, and went on to say that Selena and Nick may have work in common. Celebrity Dirty Laundry wrote:
“Selena and Nick’s date was ‘awkward at first.’ They arrived at the restaurant and hugged each other before they headed inside and got a table in the back. Eventually, some of their friends joined them and helped them break the ice a little. Now, we could argue that they are collaborating a new song and it was a business dinner and not a date. But, considering the last guy she collaborated with she wound up hooking up with (DJ Zedd), isn’t it basically the same thing?”
Perhaps the alleged awkwardness was a result of their romantic history. You may remember that Gomez and Jonas dated in the past. In 2008, both Selena and Nick were working with the Disney Channel and were an actual item.
