Ten-Year-Old Girl Complains Of Stomach Ache At School, Gives Birth Just Hours Later

A 10-year-old Brazilian girl complained to school officials that her stomach was upset and was hurting bad. Teachers became concerned when the pain started to increase instead of getting better. After rushing her to the hospital, it was determined that she was in the late stages of labor. Within hours of complaining about the pain, she gave birth.

Rather than playing with other children her age, her mother and other adults were shocked to find that she was a victim of abuse.

The Mirror reported that the girl was seven months pregnant and the mother had no idea. She mother claims that she had not seen her daughter’s stomach and did not know that she was pregnant. However, the mother did state that her daughter’s school work was suffering in recent months, and she was not sure way. In addition to falling grades, her daughter also began to become more solitary and less outgoing.

AOL News reports that the young girl shared that her stepfather, a 40-year-old man, was the father of the child. The stepfather allegedly threatened the young girl that he would kill her mother and brother if she told on him. He left the house soon after realizing he had been found out.

Police reports shared that the mother and other family members had no idea the young girl was pregnant and were shocked at the birth of her child.

“The mother alleges that she, along with other family members, hadn’t noticed, taking into consideration the child’s small frame.”

The stepfather has been charged with rape and illegal possession of firearms.

The 10-year-old girl was only seven months pregnant when she gave birth. Despite her pain, the baby was born naturally and was considered healthy.

The young girl had no idea she was pregnant or that she was in labor at school. She understood what her stepfather was doing to her, but not the consequences of his actions. His threats to kill her family if she told coerced her to keep to herself and shy away from the possibility that anyone would find out on their own.

Her mother has not commented publicly on the stepfather’s relationship with her children or how she was not aware that something might have been occurring between him and her daughter. There has not been any comment on the man’s personality either to determine if he was a violent person at home.
