Duchess Of Cornwall: Dress Blows Up In Marilyn Monroe Moment At Princess’ Christening
The Duchess of Cornwall had her dress blown up in a gust of wind at Princess Charlotte’s christening over the weekend. According to Mail Online, Camilla grabbed her hat with one hand, and placed her handbag against her dress with the other in order to avoid giving everyone a bit of a royal show, if you will.
Wearing a light blue knee-length dress, the Duchess likely didn’t expect a gust of wind to cause such a problem, but she laughed it off and went up to greet Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby before entering St. Mary Magdalene Church on Sunday.
The Duchess of Cornwall’s dress moment was caught by the many photographers standing outside the church waiting to see the royal family, and get a glimpse of the new princess. According to Star Pulse, the wind was quite gusty on Charlotte’s special day, but that didn’t stop the royals from heading to the church as planned. Sure, there was almost a major wardrobe malfunction, but overall, that was the only worry of the day. Everyone seemed to have an absolutely lovely time celebrating the princess.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Camilla Parker-Bowles recently underwent a wardrobe revamp of sorts. The report indicates that the Duchess of Cornwall has been branching out in the fashion world, and even got herself a new hairstyle, marking the first hair-related change in about three decades!
“The duchess sported a bob hairstyle, which is the first change for her in over thirty years. Parker-Bowles’ hairstylist is Hughe Green, 71, who joins her on tours that she takes abroad. It’s also reported that the 67-year-old duchess gets her highlights done at Jo Hansford Salon in Mayfair,” reports the Inquisitr.
Perhaps Kate Middleton is starting to rub off on other members of the royal family.
