Kim Kardashian May Sue Over Nude Photos: What Will Kanye West Do?
Kim Kardashian, once again, is very angry about being photographed nude. Gossip Cop has the story.
“Kim Kardashian is threatening to sue a photo agency for trying to sell allegedly nude photos of her lounging by the pool at her Hidden Hills home.”
Gossip Cop goes on to note that Kardashian had her lawyer, Martin Singer, send a legal letter to the site X17 in order to demand that they remove the naked photos of Kardashian from their website. They also warned X17 not to sell photos to other outlets. So far, the site hasn’t responded.
This isn’t the only recent legal threat Kim has launched in recent times. According to BET, she actually went through with a lawsuit against a YouTube co-founder.
“Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have been given the green light by a California court to sue YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley. The famous couple is taking legal action after the couple’s marriage-proposal video was leaked. The lawsuit dates all the way back to 2013 when the couple accused Hurley of purposefully leaking the clip on his own site, MixBit.”
BET notes that though Hurley’s attorneys appealed the lawsuit in 2014, the 2nd District Court in Los Angeles has ruled that the case can now go forward since Kim and Kanye have shown enough proof that they can win the lawsuit.
Kim Kardashian’s first highly-publicized lawsuit came in 2007, after a sex tape made with R&B singer Willie “Ray J” Norwood made its round everywhere. People quoted Kardashian talking about the tape.
“This tape, which was made three years ago, and was meant to be something private between myself and my then-boyfriend is extremely hurtful not only to me, but to my family as well. I am filing legal charges against the company who is distributing this tape since it is being sold completely without my permission or consent.”
No matter how much the tape angered Kardashian, many people believe it was really the beginning of Kim’s dive into super-stardom. The tape helped her career explode. There were even some who believe Kim purposely put the tape out, knowing how much publicity she would get.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian can’t be too upset over the recent nude photos, as she was seen celebrating Independence Day with Kanye and daughter North on a boat in New York City this weekend. Us Weekly displayed one of the photos showing Kardashian and West kissing with fireworks in the background. Despite all her career “troubles,” Kim Kardashian is one happy woman.
