‘Fallout 4’ Mods Ready To Fire On November Release

Fallout fans rejoiced when Bethesda announced at the E3 2015 last June that Fallout 4 in Xbox One will fully support mods created with the PC. For prior Fallout modders, the release is just too far away to wait out, so as early as now, they are already teasing Fallout 4 fans with modded gear that they will release as soon as Fallout 4 goes public in November, 2015.

Modder Zealotlee from Fallout 3 announced at the Bethesda forums that after lying low in the modding community for a while, he is making a comeback in Fallout 4 with his new Rail Rifle gun, already almost ready for the Fallout 4 release this year.

“Some of you might recognize me as the creator of such mods for Fallout 3 like the ACR and my contributions to Project Nevada for Fallout: New Vegas. I stepped away from modding for a while, but Fallout 4 pulled me back in. Now I’m working on some models that I plan to import into the game as soon as the tools become available.”

Twinfinite reports that the upcoming modified Rail Rifle for Fallout 4 will be fully customizable, with various barrels, muzzle breaks, optics, and stocks. The player will have the ultimate say in how the gun will end up, adapting to suit to the player’s preferred Fallout style. Zealotlee’s modded Rail Rifle will use energy weapon ammo in Fallout 4. Assuming EC cells will still be around in Fallout 4, Zealotlee writes that he will be using these EC cells for the light ammo drum magazine, and MF cells for the heavier ones.

While the Rail Rifle models that he posted are still lacking textures and final touches, the High Poly version of his model is almost complete, thanks to Fallout 4’s new crafting system. Although they are ready to ship out to Fallout 4, Zealotlee writes that he is still open to feedback and suggestions on how he could improve the models.

The Fallout 4 mod gun models he presented were very detailed, and those who saw his post at the Bethesda forums gave very good feedback. Zealotlee’s Rail Rifle is one of the first and immensely detailed mod to come out for Fallout 4 at this early stage in the Fallout 4 timeline, making a lot of Fallout 4 fans excited for the other mods that will come to the game. PC Games N believes that with such dedication from modders, a huge pool of mods will already be available to Fallout players within days of Fallout 4?s release in November.

Bethesda announced at the E3 that modding in Fallout 4 will come earlier for PC and Xbox One, with PlayStation 4 to follow suit later on. Fallout 4 will be released for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 10, 2015.
