Sam Smith fans all over the world expressed different reactions regarding Smith’s post, some thinking that he might have been hacked since it’s not characteristic for Smith to post photos of the like in his social media pages.

Some fans are quick to defend the singer, saying that he had been hacked, since they could not believe that Sam Smith is capable of posting such racy photos.

“You know he got hacked, right?” one Smith fan posted.

Another Smith fan commented, “Aren’t you gay?”

Some Smith fans, though, believe that Sam Smith actually posted the pic and aren’t very hurt about his tastes.

Guys, don’t assume Sam got hacked. Why can’t he post stuff like this? Because he’s gay? Stop acting like it’s such a big deal. You’ve just never seen this side of him before. He’s 23 chill.”

Another Smith fan posted that the photo was actually a screengrab from Rihanna’s music video and believes that Sam Smith is a fan of Rihanna himself, prompting him to post the photo.

“It’s Rihanna’s music video and he just likes Rihanna’s music, but he posted her [back]. Just cause he loves the video, but he loves boys…”

After the controversial post by Sam Smith, another post already appeared and as of writing, Smith still hasn’t removed the said NSFW photo. Smith hasn’t also released any statements regarding the conundrum. This leads fans to believe that Sam Smith might not have actually been hacked, since he still isn’t deleting the post.

“If he was hacked he would’ve said something and deleted it once he saw it. Check my page. Leave him alone. Why is it so unbelievable that he would post this?”
