Corey Simms Custody Battle Ends? Leah Messer Spends Time With Twins, Wants To Rid ‘Calvert’ From Twitter Handle

Have Corey Simms and Leah Messer come to a custody agreement for their twin daughters, 5-year-old Ali and Aleeah? The Teen Mom 2 stars began a dramatic custody battle several months ago, after Corey Simms and his wife, Miranda, attempted to gain full custody of the girls. However, despite Messer having recently left rehab, she appears to remain the twins’ primary parent.

After Corey Simms and Leah Messer divorced in 2011, the twins began splitting their time between their father and mother, and although the couple feuded over child support at times, their custody agreement appeared civil on Teen Mom 2 — at least until Season 4 when Corey Simms attempted to gain full custody.

At that time, Corey Simms reportedly felt Messer was unfit, and online, reports of drug use began swirling. Although Messer denied having an addiction to perspiration medication, or any other drug, the reality star and mother of three (Messer has a third child from her second marriage) entered rehab at the end of May, and remained there for 30 days. According to insiders, Messer was in treatment to address issues of stress and depression, which fans will soon see on the show.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Messer attacked Corey Simms’ marriage on Facebook shortly after they attended their first custody hearing in December of last year. In a message to fans, Messer claimed she was happy about the outcome of court, and alleged Corey Simms and Miranda were faking their “perfect” marriage.

“Things you see on Corey and Mirandas ‘official and APPROVED page’ is far from being true, and all I have to say about it is that they may want to be very WISE about what the post because a marriage that PRETENDS to be PERFECT is NEVER perfect. Especially when there is way more not told to a specific spouse, and that’s all I’m going to say.”

As for her Twitter handle, Messer, whose divorce from second husband Jeremy Calvert was finalized last month, says she hopes to soon be “Leah Messer” once more.

Since Messer has a verified account, she is unable to change her name easily online.
