‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Season 3: The Secret Warriors, Premiere Date, And Comic-Con Schedule
If you’re a fan of Marvel and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., there is some news out that should make the wait until season 3 – there are still several months until the premiere – just a bit easier (or perhaps harder, since now you will have an idea of what you’re waiting for over the summer).
First of all, IGN has posted ABC’s premiere dates, and AoS season 3 is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 29, in its usual 9 p.m. time slot, following The Muppets and Fresh Off the Boat. That means you can start those countdowns to the first episode, especially after the big cliffhanger in the finale.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, one of the parts of that finale was Coulson bringing Skye in on his new project, a team consisting of enhanced people. Well, Marvel has now revealed details about that team.
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for a powerful third season introducing new friends and foes inspired by the critically acclaimed Secret Warriors comic series. In the aftermath of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s battle with Jiaying and the Inhumans, Director Coulson will search the world for more powered people and assemble an extraordinary new team to deal with threats unlike the world has ever seen. However, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will soon find out they’re not the only ones tracking down these new Inhumans.”
In the comics, the Secret Warriors include Daisy Johnson (Skye) and are from Nick Fury’s Caterpillar initiative. It looks like this is the secret that Marvel teased in a recent photo, which Comicbook.com lightened and posted to show a hidden message reading, “Can You Keep a Secret?” with Chloe Bennet.

If you are going to be attending San Diego Comic-Con next month, S.H.I.E.L.D. ambassadors will be looking for and giving the most dedicated fans limited edition Secret Warriors pins, on Thursday, July 9; Friday, July 10; and Saturday, July 11. If you get that pin, the first mission is to post a photo of yourself wearing the pin with the hashtag #S.H.I.E.L.D.SecretWarriors. Members of the cast are going to choose their favorite photos and those might be posted on the show’s Twitter.
If you are going to be at Comic-Con, you can also check out the Marvel Television Presents panel on Friday, July 10, 3-4:15 p.m. in Ballroom 20, with the casts and producers of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter. The S.H.I.E.L.D. cast (Clark Greg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Brett Dalton, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Nick Blood, Adrianne Palicki, Henry Simmons, Luke Mitchell and executive producers Maurissa Tancharoen, Jed Whedon and Jeph Loeb) will be participating in a signing event on Saturday, July 11, at 2:30 p.m., at the Marvel Booth (#2329).
