Mariah Carey And Billionaire To Marry? Rumors Say Mariah Rushing Down The Aisle With Boyfriend James Packer

Mariah Carey and her new billionaire boyfriend could be planning to marry, with the singer reportedly planning a quick trip down the aisle.

Carey and billionaire media magnate James Packer just went public in the last week after being spotted on an Italian vacation. They were seen walking together near a cafe and later on Packer’s private yacht, where sources say they have spent the last week.

It now appears the relationship is moving along very quickly, and that they may already be thinking about marriage.

“Sources reportedly told TMZ that Packer is obsessed with Carey and that he has already announced that he wants to marry her,” the International Business Times reported.

Sources say Packer has had his eyes on Mariah for quite some time. The two have a mutual friend in Brett Ratner, who is Packer’s business partner and has produced some of Mariah’s music videos, and he helped set the two up.

The three all met up last year in Aspen, Colorado, though both Mariah and Packer were on their way out of relationships at the time, the Daily Telegraph explained.

“At the time, Carey was married to successful U.S. rapper Nick Cannon, while Packer was still getting over his divorce from model Erica Baxter just months earlier.

“While that first meeting was purely platonic, there was an undeniable connection between the pair.

“They forged an instant friendship that lasted through both of their marriage breakdowns.”

That friendship has blossomed into a relationship, and now rumors suggest that Mariah Carey and billionaire James Packer may plan to marry.

There were initially rumors that Mariah and Ratner were dating, but it turns out it was Packer who had eyes for the actress. They have been dating in secret for some time and reportedly decided to go public last week.

“It was going to be impossible to keep it secret so they decided to get it out there,” a source said, via the Daily Telegraph. “They’ve been together for a few weeks.”

James Packer has some famous connections, with marriages to swimsuit model Jodhi Meares and model and singer Erica Baxter. Packer is also friends with Tom Cruise and dabbled in Scientology in the early 2000s before leaving the church.

If Mariah Carey does plan to marry her billionaire boyfriend James Packer, the nuptials won’t be too soon. Mariah is still in the midst of completing her divorce from America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon.
