Taylor Swift’s Tumblr ‘Likes’ Found, Dubbed ‘Hilarious,’ ‘Embarrassing’ By The Media

Taylor Swift’s Tumblr “likes” have been picked up by the media. It’s no secret that the 25-year-old singer uses the micro blogging and social networking site to connect with her fans. Sometimes, Taylor uses Tumblr to write an open letter to Apple, or to explain the reason why she walks backwards or wears leather harnesses.

Swift also keeps her Tumblr “likes” public, which means that anyone can view them, even if they don’t have a Tumblr account. Most of the posts that Swift “likes” are about her. Some fans have commented that some of her Tumblr “likes” are “self-serving” and “narcissistic.” Meanwhile, other fans on celebrity gossip site Oh No They Didn’t! remarked that Swift’s Tumblr likes are downright “embarrassing.”

The reason? She “likes” a lot of the positive things that fans say about her, especially when it comes to her relationship with DJ Calvin Harris.

Her Twitter “likes” are the same in which she would fave posts about herself, but most of those tweets come from the media. Taylor’s Tumblr “likes” may come off as self-involved to most people, but it could be her way of connecting with her fans. It also could be her way of showing her fans that she cares by “liking” some of their posts. Although some would say that Taylor’s head has gotten bigger since her fans build her up as some sort of god or deity. Others would argue that they know nothing about Taylor Swift the person since she never posts or “likes” anything personal such as her favorite TV shows, her favorite books, and her thoughts on issues other than music and feminism.

That hasn’t stopped Taylor Swift from becoming the new “Queen of the Internet,” according to Wired. According to the report, Swift understands the internet and she knows how to use it. When she joined Tumblr last year, she started the meme, “No, it’s Becky.” Swift’s able to get her thousands of fans on her side when it comes to going after big corporations like Apple.

Whether you like it or not, Taylor Swift has an impact on the internet and the world around her. With just a tap of her fingers, she can get Apple to change their minds.
