‘Terminator Vs RoboCop’: ‘Epic Rap Battles Of History’ Pits The Legendary Cyborgs Against Each Other
In the latest episode, “Terminator Vs RoboCop,” Epic Rap Battles of History takes on the most famous showdown in cyborg movie history. NicePeter and EpicLloyd are at it again, this time giving us the lyrical version of the showdown fans have probably been wanting to see on the big screen more than Freddy Vs Jason.
Other channels have shown their own versions of this duel, such as ScrewAttack’s Death Battle series. Yet another enterprising video maker literally took scenes from the movies and edited them together to make it look like they were fighting, but the debate has taken the lyrical route this time.
This stand-off, “Terminator Vs RoboCop,” is also being used as a clever marketing tactic to get fans excited about the upcoming Terminator Genisys. Being Schwarzenegger’s first real return to the franchise since Terminator 3, it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
RoboCop begins the exchange with “Freeze. I suggest you use your right to remain silent,” riffing on his former identity as Detroit police officer Alex Murphy. He targets the Terminator as the video pokes fun at his film-induced prime directive. The first rule is the same, but the second and third have been changed for the video.
“Maximize blood squibs. Defeat all sucker emcees.”
Murphy continues to poke fun at his opponent’s accent.
“I wonder where the Cyberdyne research went, that they couldn’t fix your funky Hans and Franz accent.”
Even further he pokes fun at how the Terminator couldn’t manage to kill a child after several attempts. It is worth mentioning, however, that starting in Judgment Day, Schwarzenegger’s cyborg character was on John Connor’s side and it was other robots trying to kill him.

Terminator comes back and pokes fun at how RoboCop sticks to using a pistol that fits in his leg. The “Terminator Vs RoboCop” episode also compares him to Krang from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, since the only organic part of RoboCop is what was salvageable after Murphy’s run-in with an attempt to kill him.
