‘Storage Wars’ Brawl: Dan Dotson, Dave Hester Brawl Turns Violent When Producers Get Involved
A Storage Wars brawl between Dan Dotson and Dave Hester was reportedly caused by A&E producers, and the whole thing was caught on tape. According to TMZ, the reality show’s producers got involved when Dotson missed a bid on a storage locker. Producers went to Dave, and told him to tell Dan about his mistake, and, of course, Dave confronted Dan about it.
When Dan ignored Dave, producers advised Dave to stay on him about it, and that’s when things got ugly. At one point, Dan’s wife, Laura, gets knocked to the ground by Dave, and she goes ballistic (see video below).
According to the Wrap, Dave ended up being kicked off the set. He went to the hospital to get a tetanus shot because Laura scratched him. A&E has decided to halt production of the show, but it is unclear when they will resume.
The Storage Wars brawl has turned off many fans, as they think that this was done strictly for ratings, and that it was pretty pathetic for the producers to get in the middle, and to get these two guys to argue. Dan Dotson looks at this incident as “an attack” and even sent out a tweet suggesting that Dave is a “bully.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, “Dan and Linda Dotson operate American Auctioneers, which handles between 2,500 and 3,000 appraisals each year, and preside over most of the auctions shown on Storage Wars.” The site also reported that Hester sued Storage Wars for wrongful termination back in 2012. Last summer, A&E reached a settlement with Dave. Many people don’t seem to like Dave, but have lost interest with the show because of other things. For instance, when fan favorite Barry Weiss left Storage Wars, things really seemed to go downhill.
Despite the Storage Wars brawl, the network doesn’t seem too concerned. In fact, they sent out the following tweet on Saturday.
