Scott Baio’s Wife Diagnosed With Brain Tumor: ‘My Wife Is My Rock’ [Video]
Just a few short days ago, Scott Baio was at the top of the world until his wife, Renee, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The actor, 54, revealed the news on his Facebook page and has been keeping fans updated since. Scott’s wife needs to undergo further testing to know if she has a malignant brain tumor.

On June 16, Scott revealed the heartbreaking news about his wife’s brain tumor, according to USA Today, posting the following on his Facebook fan page.
“Just a few days ago we learned my wife, Renee has a meningioma brain tumor. Although 90% of these type of tumors are benign they can cause serious problems depending on the size of the tumor and the location. We are waiting to learn the exact location to see if its operable.”
The Charles in Charge star continued that his wife “has been down some rough roads in her life, yet each time with her strong faith in God, she comes through a better and stronger person. During this time we ask for your prayers and support. My wife is my rock. She refuses to even shed one tear, nor will she question God’s will. Renee, Bailey and I will get through this and along the way maybe help educate others to get checked out (MRI with contrast) as 6500 people each year, mostly women get these tumors.”
The world has rallied behind Scott and his wife, who reportedly hasn’t “shed one tear” according to ABC News. Media and the public alike have offered their support and well wishes to Scott and his wife during their difficult time
Baio also tweeted to his 89,000 followers on Twitter, “Sometimes God throws you a curve ball. If any extra prayers, give them to @MrsScottBaio Thanks.”

Baio and his wife married in 2007, and they have a young daughter, Bailey, who is 7.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, this isn’t the first trial Scott and his wife have endured. Shortly after her birth, their daughter, Bailey, was falsely diagnosed with glutaric acidemia type 1, a metabolic disorder. Scott and his wife went through 10 weeks of tests and diagnoses before finding out that the test had shown a false-positive.
Mrs. Baio, who is also on Twitter, thanked fans for their support, posting “Tks 4 well wishes. A Meningioma brain tumor is a bump in the road compared 2the trials/tribulations my spec needs kids live.”
The news of his wife’s tumor prompted over 6,000 comments on Scott’s Facebook fan page, with over 1,400 shares.
