Daniel Schulties Wanted Sex With Child And ‘Incest Family’

Pennsylvania man Daniel Schulties has admitted to seeking out children and families for sexual encounters. HLN News reports that the 24-year-old man was busted by authorities, who acted undercover as a so-called “incest family,” that responded to an advertisement that he posted online. This was reportedly his first offense, and he has entered a guilty plea while taking full responsibility for his actions. Nonetheless, the circumstances of this case reveal that he had a long-term desire to have taboo sexual contact.

New York Daily News reports that Schulties posted an online personal ad seeking an incest family with children.

“Looking to join an incest family,” the ad said.

The Pennsylvania state Attorney General’s office caught wind of his online behavior, and recruited the aid of the child predator unit, who put undercover officers to work. The agents posed as a so-called “incest family” who had an 11-year-old daughter, and responded to Daniel Schulties’ advertisement. They established contact with the 24-year-old man, which lasted for several weeks into mid-August 2014. That’s when the man decided to meet the family at a motel in Township of Moon.

He had plans to have sex with the 11-year-old girl and her parents at this time. His plans were dashed, however, when he was greeted by agents who arrested him. He’s since pleaded guilty to five charges associated with attempted indecent assault on a person under 13 years of age.

Daniel Schulties isn’t the only person to get too wrapped up in the fantasy of taboo sex on the internet. In 2012 a Georgia man tried to solicit sex from a child online that he knew was underage, but he was met with FBI agents instead. Law enforcement agencies aren’t the only ones to pose undercover in hopes of trapping and luring these perverts, either. Earlier this year a vigilante group posed as a 14-year-old girl on the internet in order to lure a 25-year-old man to be jumped and beaten. Authorities in Manchester spoke out against the vigilante actions at the time of the incident, but also arrested and charged the victim with the crimes he had committed that led to the assault.

Do you think it’s fair for law enforcement agencies to pose as women and children to lure people into committing crimes? Some people believe that this is a form of entrapment that turns non-criminals into criminals by seeking them out and exploiting their own weaknesses. On the other hand, in cases such as the arrest of Daniel Schulties, it’s safe to say that these agents do their best to prevent crimes against children.
