Visit George Zimmerman’s Website, Help Him Pay Legal Fees?

Posted: April 9, 2012

George Zimmerman resurfaces with authentic website

After months of hiding from the media spotlight and public cries for justice, George Zimmerman has finally resurfaced – online anyway. The man responsible for the death of Trayvon Martin has launched a website, and is asking visitors to help pay his legal fees for his impending trial.

Florida resident Zimmerman has created a site, , to collect for his own legal defense. It’s kind of like a charity, except the cause is keeping a (Okay, I’ll at least say allegedly) guilty man out of jail. The site is no joke – his lawyers confirmed its legitimacy to MSNBC – as the address indicates, this is the real George Zimmerman asking for a public bail-out.

Though there have been many other websites lifted in the name of an “innocent” Zimmerman, the man himself states “I cannot attest to the validity of these other websites as I have not received any funds collected,” on the site. There’s also a tab called “The Facts”, but it’s a bit of a mislead, since Zimmerman states on it “I cannot discuss the details of the event on February 26th,” but he thanks friends for “allowing law enforcement to proceed with their investigation unhindered.”

In case you can’t follow the link, here’s Zimmerman’s full statement:

“I am the real George Zimmerman. On Sunday February 26th, I was involved in a life altering event which led me to become the subject of intense media coverage. As a result of the incident and subsequent media coverage, I have been forced to leave my home, my school, my employer, my family and ultimately, my entire life. This website’s sole purpose is to ensure my supporters they are receiving my full attention without any intermediaries.

It has come to my attention that some persons and/or entities have been collecting funds, thinly veiled as my “Defense Fund” or “Legal Fund”. I cannot attest to the validity of these other websites as I have not received any funds collected, intended to support my family and I through this trying, tragic time.

I have created a Paypal account solely linked on this website as I would like to provide an avenue to thank my supporters personally and ensure that any funds provided are used only for living expenses and legal defense, in lieu of my forced inability to maintain employment. I will also personally, maintain accountability of all funds received. I reassure you, every donation is appreciated.”

Sincerely,

George Zimmerman

Capacity problems are causing the site to be a little on-and-off. Why? In the opinion of this humble writer, it’s presumably due to so many people visiting – not to donate – but because they just can’t believe it’s actually real until they see it for themselves.

Guilty or no, can George Zimmerman sleep at night? That’s all I want to know.

  1. How deos george zimmerman know, that trayvan martin is up to no good; from faraway.

  2. Most people don't just walk around in a neighborhood at night in the rain, while talking on the phone.

  3. FAR away, just another reason I don't think it was racist. With a Hoodie up and far away who would know what race a person was.

Hoodie or not, red or yellow, black or white, an angry man with a gun shot a minor. Couldn't this have been handled a better way? A loose cannon like Zimmerman should not have been roaming around the neighborhood with a gun and taking the law into his own hands. He could have shot at anyone and it went through a home and killed an innocent person like a child! Zimmerman has had previous altercations with the police due to his anger problem If he got into an altercation with the child, shouldn't he have just called 911 and went to his house, then waited for professionals to handle it. He acted in an immature manner. If this is going to be a racial issue if you put those two pictures up of both of them side by side, Martin and Zimmerman…..Zimmerman would be the one I would think is a thug. I guess I am a racist if I had to choose between the two…..An adult shot a minor….

  5. Guess it would depend which two pictures you were comparing…

  6. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion of this case and if people want to help Zimmerman that's their choice… Me personally won't donate to either cause until ALL the FACTS come out…

  7. I am so amazed this man is still free…should have been arrested a very long time ago. This is just unbelievable, and those who support his claims are they themselves, likely racist.

  8. forget it zimmerman still trying to make a name for himself now he wants people to pay for murder lock him up.

  9. The audacity of a dope.

  10. Your a child murdering bastard none of this would have happened if you hadn't followed that kid it's obvious the child was afraid if he asked why you were following him

I support George Zimmerman's right to a fair trial. As this has been all over the media, Zimmerman needs a good lawyer (not a public defender) to get a fair trial. Protest the 'stand your ground' law, don't use Zimmerman as a scapegoat for a predictable horrific outcome from a ridiculous law. Why would Zimmerman call the police if he was so intent on committing a hate crime?

Anyone believe in Innocent until proven guilty? Why are so many wanting a lynching? Is it right to arrest a man & put him in jail without proof of guilt?

  13. Debi Montgomery I believe it BECAME a race issue when the police decided to leave this CHILD in the morgue for 3 days and made no attempts to notify his parents & let a murderer go scott free without any kind of investigation… Just my opinion

Debi Montgomery people walk in many neighborhoods when returning from a store. Maybe Zimmerman is simply a murderer.

At times people don't think rationally…maybe that was one of those times for Zimmerman.

He followed and killed an unarmed child…it's easier to see the crime if the dead child was your son.

  18. LadyDeluxx Williams …I never heard that his parents werent notifed of his death, especially since so many witnesses heard the shot and ran out and everyone saw who was shot. thanks for the information

  19. Fuck George Zimmerman

  20. And debi What are you trying to say that trayvon was up to no good he was coming from the damn store his father girlfriend lived there so there for he had no other choice but to walk though the neighborhood to get home

  21. Why would trayvon run from Zimmerman but I forgot black people life don't mean a damn thing..

  22. He killed an innocent child he ran from him would your question be different if it was a white child???

  23. I agree… But seriously y would trayvon come back to attack an armed man when trayvon ran from him the first time

I've written against George Zimmerman before. I agree that anytime a person is carrying firearms and it results in a death, there needs to be some serious accountability. If Zimmerman wasn't trained to handle that situation without taking a life, he shouldn't have been carrying firearms.

That said, I am donating to his defense fund, and I think more people should. I'm not doing this because I necessarily believe he's innocent, or that he's telling us the truth about what happened that night. I'm doing it because I believe that every person is innocent until found guilty, and unfortunately, we live in a world in which the only way it's possible for an accused person to get a fair trial is if they can afford a high-power attorney. Anyone who's been paying any kind of attention to this case at all knows it more about public outrage than it's about the facts. From the beginning, the authorities have said they don't have any evidence or any reason to believe Zimmerman is lying, and the DA even chose not to convene a grand jury because it's obvious there's no evidence here. This is about public opinion and nothing more.

I don't know whether George Zimmerman is innocent. I do know I'm against mob mentality deciding the law, and media circuses like this one rarely come down to anything more. I'm donating to Zimmerman's defense fund not because I want him to be found Not Guilty, but because I want him to have a fair trial, and I hope more people will follow suit.

Tawana Johnson – .. seriously, do you think old man zimmerman could catch up to (and overpower) young man trayvon (who is also a football player) in a foot race?

Tawana Johnson – yes – the question would be 'Where's all the media coverage?"

  27. Barnett I agree! This world is so messed up a CHILD DIED because a grown man took the law in his own hands

  28. Y he think deserves some help?

  29. I personally do think that Zimmerman deserves a fair trial. Do ithink that this is a racist case? YES ! My husband and I are intelligent AFRICAN AMERICANS and iwould want anyone judging me because of wht iwas wearing or wht iwas doin ! I grew up knowing that ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME ! .. && that iwill stick with! Do ithink that Zimmerman should be collecting MONEY for his own expenses? NO! There are many cases like this in the UNITED STATES ! .. but does anyone else collect money because they NEED to take care of their family ! NO ! If Zimmerman would have had a better mind set of thinkgs instead the COLOR OF SOMEONE'S SKIN, then he would have thought about his family FIRST && approaching a MINOR WITH A GUN wouldnt have even been something that he would have thought about ! Treyvon Martin was DEFENSELESS !!! .. Zimmerman argues that Treyvon did try && fight him ! .. YU ARE A OLD MAN ZIMMERMAN, there in NO WAY a minor could have taken you down ! Now for everyone whose actually GIVING ZIMMERMAN MONEY , where will Zimmerman be when your in a struggle, and you need HIS HELP ! NO WHERE ! .. but tryn to prey on someone else !! .. What is wrong with the world today ! HE DID SOMETHING WRONG, && HE SHOULD GET THE PUNISHMENT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT!

  30. From my husband:
yall white motherfukkers are CRAZY ! .. First, yall said the president is a terrorist, and now yall think yall can get away with MURDER!?! You white motherfukkers are crazy! Zimmerman deserves what he gets!!!!!!!

George Zimmerman, I believe in Moses Law, an eye for an eye. I hope after you're convicted, they will put you in general population, where you will be dealt with in the most severe manner. You're a cowardly murderer, you executed an unarmed child, you're so blinded by prejudice and hate for the black race you did not see a human being that unfortunate night, you saw what appears to be a black man, you decided he was a criminal, judge him as guilty and execute him. You stalked that child, he was trying to get away from your crazy ass, you followed him, confronted and murdered him and them lied about what happened. Those are the facts of the case. You've proven that you're a lier and cannot be trusted. You, a common criminal, fancied yourself judge and jury, who the hell do you think you're, I'll tell you what you're, a low life scum sucking bottom feeder, a parasite an underachiever and soon a convicted murderer.

Allie Barnett, Trayvon was innocent, he did shot and murdered an innocent child. Trayvon was walking home from the store, he did nothing wrong. Zimmerman confronted him not the other way around, he followed him even after being told not to.

Tiffani Bigelow are you implying that Trayvon somehow caused himself to be murdered by this criminal. You need to clarify your statement.

Pat..it is so sad that it happened that way. A sad loss and the way it was handled was all wrong. Both of these people would be here today, one alive and one not behind bars, and none of this mess would be happening if Zimmerman would have just gone home and let the police handle the situation.

Debi Montgomery Debbie Montgomery you're one clueless hag, I mean surly blacks should be locked up at night because it's against the law to walk around while being black, especially at night. How would you feel if it was your child. He knew Trayvon was black, he told the 911 operator that he was black, he knew he was going to murder Trayvon. The facts are; he was told not to follow him and he did, not only did he follow him, he confronted and murdered him. His statement that they always get away with it says it all. That low life criminal murdered an unarmed child and you and your kind was willing to let him get away with it, he should've have been arrested that very night. If it hadn't been for all the protests, he never would have been arrested, but I guess the police officers have the same mentality you do, kill a nigger and you're a hero, because surly a black men are guilty of something, we don't know what, but we know they are guilty of something, we didn't see them do it, but we know they did it. Your statement shows your ignorant bigoted way of thinking, you are a sad representation of your race…I hope you will one day feel the pain and anguish Trayvon's parents are feeling.

Allie you're right, but there was no situation to handle, Zimmerman created the situation, Trayvon didn't know Zimmerman existed..he was just a normal teenage, talking to his little girlfriend on the phone, totally unaware, he was being hunted down and was about to be murdered…
