Tulsa Shooters Bail Set At $9 Million Each

Jake England, 19 and Alvin Watts, 33, have been charged with the murder of three people and two counts of shooting with intent to kill after the white men entered a black neighborhood and began killing what appears to have been random people. Now in response to their random acts of violence the judge overseeing the case has ordered a $9 million bail for each man.

It’s still unclear whether race placed a roll in the men’s decision to target the area they targeted however a posting on England’s Facebook page seems to point to yes. On his FB page England wrote on the second anniversary of his father’s death that he was killed “at the hands of a F–ing nigger.”

While the message is directed at the black community it may not be enough to charge England with a hate crime because it was directed at the man who killed his father and not at his eventual victims. Even if no hate crime is handed down it shouldn’t matter since both men are already being tried for capital murder and hate crime laws typically add to the severity of an attack when the crime requires further consequences.

Jake and Alvin shared a home in Tulsa and were arrested on Sunday when several tips led police escorted by a surveillance helicopter to the murderers home.

Apparently friends of England were trying to stop his rage issues before the attack, one friend wrote on his Facebook page that he shouldn’t “do anything stupid” after which Jake England wrote “It just mite be the time to call it quits.”

England also wrote:

“I hate to say it like that but I’m done if something does happen tonite be ready for another funeral later.”

After his father’s death his own girlfriend shot and killed herself in front of him, leaving England alone to care for their 6-month-old child. Writing about his girlfriend he said:

“It’s hard not to go off between that and sheran I’m gone in the head.”

Since being leaked online Jake’s Facebook page has been deleted.
